Registered 7 years agoJust flicking about the channels and the matrix whatever and I laughed when they were having a conversation and everyone was calling each other by their cool names.
'Heh. Yes trinity. No Morpheus. Aye Aye, Niobe. Its lucky no one is called colin or trevor'
'Yeah. But ones like neo are their online names. If you were in the matrix, everyone would be calling you nickthegun or something equally as stupid'
Which then made me laugh at the thoughts of the nebuchadnezzar being piloted by the likes of dirtbox, hairyarse, bitch_tits and darren.---------------------------------------------------------

That would not be good. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

Just worked out how to get to the the top of the hifi unit and promptly tried to perch on my upright PS3 slim. Result? PS3 topples and falls 6 foot to the floor after a domino effect that led to the wii u taking a hefty smack against the wall.
A couple of bits of plastic have come loose, though I think they're from the PS3 casing so I have my fingers crossed no long term damage is done. After all, sony consoles have a history of being absolute bricks when it comes to external knocks.
Luckily the wiiu didnt even blink, so that's something.3DS: 4055-2781-2855

Registered 4 years agoI'd say Dust. I personally found Bastion to be overly simple and repetitive. Dust scratches the Metroidvania itch nicely.3DS: 4055-2781-2855

Registered 3 years agoI preferred Dust. It's not great though. Bit repetitive.
So, how the heck do you cook a tinned Fray Bentos pie so it all raises properly with no soggy layers of unseparated pastry? I have managed that culinary feat twice in my life - pure fluke. But now my daughter has developed a taste for them, and the pressure is on, I just can't figure it out. The 25 minutes at gas mark 8 quoted on the tin never works...? -

Registered 5 years ago@RelaxedMikki Are you preheating the oven beforehand? That is probably key.Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

Registered 3 years ago@Moot_Point - that photo made me laugh! (I was thinking of them when I wrote the post, I must admit. Their cooking compared to my cooking is like quantum physics compared to estimating how many quid I am totting up as I wonder round the co-op!)
@localnotail good point. I'd always thought of 'pre-heating the oven' as something of an old wive's tale. In today's fast paced life style I have never really had time for such superstitions. Maybe I should try this voodoo magic...!
EDIT: edited to minimise nonsensicalness.

Registered 5 years agoAh. Pre-heating is important for most recipes - especially baking. Try that next time - many ovens have a thermostat light that goes off when it's ready, but otherwise give it 10 mins. Should sort your pastry out nicely. Otherwise, maybe take the crust off and cook it separately.
Better still, make a pie with your daughter that isn't made of horse offcuts.Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.
