    I started it last night but my character I wanted to play with is 7 levels too low so I played for a hour and levelled up once, sod that. Decided to try tonight with my character that is too good.

    I trounced these guys despite not being very good. They aren't terribly quick and you can Benny Hill them running around the pillar. I find the Duke of Orcs intensely irritating though...

    I'm 3 levels below the main boss yet everything else I've taken on was my level or 1 higher.

    What I find odd with the Orcs was I never had an issue with those.  They were too busy in-fighting and attacking the elder trees that I sauntered through and got the bloodfruit without even having to face them.

    @Mayhem64

    TVHM but I'm using gaige.  She was the only character I had that was the right level.

    My Axton is currently doing UVHM .. well struggling
    Maya is only a 9

    In UVHM, you're always the right level, as all content levels based on your level. So you could use your Axton.

    The annoying thing about the Kings battle, is the lack of things to get a second wind from. You get the odd Resurrected Skeleton, but it's mainly Immortal Skeletaurs. You can down them, but it won't let you pull the sword and trying to get a wind from one of the King's heads is a nightmare.

    So, am I understanding things right that the seasson pass includes everything except the mechromancer and psycho pack?

    Edit: Assuming I am, which is better for soloing bosses? I played the first, and was fine for most, except Crawmerax with whichever one I went. Had to get help from someone who played as a Siren, so if I'd known that, would have started out a Siren. I want to be smarter this time.

    It includes all 4 DLC campaigns released so far and the level cap increase. If anymore campaign DLCs are released, they won't be included. You are right in thinking that the character DLCs are seperate (but they are worth it).

    Gunzerker seems to be the character of choice for trying to solo raid bosses, but you will have to spend some time farming for decent gear if you want to do this. I think The Bee + Sandhawk combo is still the favoured. Along with a Rubi, or Grognozzle and a good grenade mod, for regaining health.

    Thanks for the response. I posted this in 2 other places because I wanted to be sure of the story before downloading, and nothing from either other place.

    The gunzerker is probably the least fun as a first character -he's stupidly powerful past level 31ish though.

    It's good all the way, but lots in this thread starter gunzerkers and abandoned them in favour of sirens or soldiers.

    Every character is good. Some are more specialised than others, but as long as you keep your arsenal varied, you'll be alright.

    @Deckard1  - I've taken Zero to lvl 50 and of all the characters I've played us the one I've enjoyed the most.

    Zer0 is a pretty decent choice, from the original 4 characters. Not as much fun as the Siren for me, on a par with the Commando and more fun than the Gunzerker.

    What level are you at? Are you planning on speccing for Melee, or sniping?

    Anyone else had the retarded situation tonight of having to download another six meg patch and then the game telling you your save game was using dlc you don't have on this console?

    Your level will be about the XP bar at the middle/bottom of the screen. It'll say lvl ?? Assassin. Once you hit level 5, your action skill (Deception) will become available (you'll get you first action skill point, which you'll have to spend on Deception to unlock the 3 lower skill trees)

    The skill tree on the far left is the one for Sniping (this is the one I went down, but you can spread you points around, you get another skill point each time you level up btw). I think the middle one is more Survival based and the right hand one is the Melee tree. Hope that helps.

    What's the best way to play the DLC? I have gaige at lvl 40 or so but a bit bored with her so was thinking of going back to one of my other characters, all of which are in their teens. Can I just hop into the DLC with one of these chars or is it best to complete the game first or even complete TVHM before making a start?

    Christ, why can this not download in the fucking background and let me play shit too?

    Downloaded the compatibility pack, then the increased level cap and now, finally, downloading the new dlc. Wasted an hour or so's worth of an evening's gaming right there by the time it's all done.

    You can just quit out, go to your account history and restart from there. Will just download in the background as normal.

    @Dante_Cubit

    Baring a bit of Ni No Kuni, I've played nothing but BL2 since September. I've a Gaige and an Axton in UVHM (so 2 playthroughs completed with each). A Zer0 and a Kreig both into 20s and the other 2, Maya and Salvador are in teens.

    Kreig will probably be the next one I take to completion, as he's a hoot and a holler to play.

    Right .. Trying again.

    Woohoo fuckin 'ave it bastards

    Ahem. So actually spending a few minutes just running around and observing works wonders.

    Reload and recharge some health while doing the old Benny Hill around the pillars.
    Unleash deathtrap to draw agro and unleash hell.
    Ammo shrine.
    Rinse repeat.

    Profit!

    Onwards to the dwarven mines

    Yes they are quite enjoyable. Even when you know the first time it's going to happen :). Got some grenade mod that lets me shot lightning from my hand and regenerates grenade ammo over time. On TVHM and near the end am commando level 41

    Am enjoying this DLC just for the world they created

    @fletch7100

    There are Fireball and Magic Missile versions to look out for as well.

    Agreed on the locations, they really are some of the best looking in the game. The outdoor section in the run up to the end of the main quest are simply beautiful.

    And as for the queen... Oh my. I want to comb her hair ALL DAY LONG.
