Registered 7 years agoGoldeneye. I recently had a multiplayer session on this, and once you get over how bad it looks, and the weird controls, it still rules. With updated graphics and controls, not to mention online play, it would be awesome.
Cannon Fodder.

Registered 7 years agoYup, Laser Squad - maybe using elements from Valkyria(sp?) Chronicles. Or (obvious answers) decent new versions of Elite, Shenmue and the original Star Wars arcade game. -

Same here, missed opportunity to get it out at the same time as the DVD set and Blu Ray, I'm sure EA could get the rights sorted out if they made an effort.cianchristopher wrote:

Remake of Panzer Dragoon Saga would do me nicely, or for that matter HD versions of both Shenmue games kinda like the God of War collection.
It would give gamers a chance to show if they can, after all the word of mouth ahd pleading from gamers online, actually sell well enough to justify Shenmue 3. -

Basically whatever is left at Sega need to reissue in HD all of their classics until they remember how to make decent new games again. Valkyria Chronicles team is excused from this task, provided they stop faffing about with the PSP and give us more HD canvas engine goodness.

I actually tried that out last week, it's bloody brilliant! Not quite Goldeneye, since the controller was part of the experience, but I'd certainly recommend giving this a shot. It really looks fantastic too.

I think you mean "released on gog.com soon" - Steam classics are never updated to run on newer Windows, and happily enjoy all the benefits of the original DRM, too.

2 is a good game, it just has alot of resentment attached to it because you have to play as Raiden when there was zero known about that before buying the game.BabyJesus wrote:

I love Snake and was pissed that I had to run about as this annoying emo kid. As an aside I now think Cyber Ninja Raiden is the best turnarounds for a character I've seen. They made him badass as fuck in MGS4 and I look forward to Rising.
Anyway 3 is the by far the best game in series to me, the bosses are some of the best I've ever seen, the story was the most coherent out of the series and it was just pure gaming bliss .
I don't think a game has come close to being as great since then.
Gah, dammit Sony patch in BC. -
I don't really see the point in remaking anything that's within a genre that has evolved since. A Goldeneye remake for example just sounds kinda pointless to me, although that said I'm desperate for Black Mesa to happen so I guess it depends how much emotional investment you have in the game
Really though the things that most deserve remakes are the games that have never been bettered since, or even attempted, such as Elite and Magic Carpet. -
