Harvest Moon meets medieval fantasy.

Rising Star Games has told Eurogamer that Rune Factory: Frontier will be released on Wii next Thursday, 1st April. Friday, remember, is a bank holiday (Good Friday).

Frontier is the first RF instalment on console, and was released for Japan in 2008 and the US in 2009. We may be last to the party, but the wait should be worthwhile, with regional reviews touting plenty of depth and quality.

Rune Factory is made by the creators of Harvest Moon and puts a medieval fantasy spin on the farm-building licence.

It certainly does and hopefully the added spin on the series will make it interesting again. I'm a big harvest moon fan but I just couldn't get along with the last couple of games. They just got boring rather quickly.

Yeah, I'm not sure I could play through another Harvest Moon game that solely revolves around farming. I had dozens of hours of fun with the GBA version but the Gamecube titles left me cold.

I've got US version and it's absolutely brilliant! Definitely the right direction for Harvest Moon.
