Unreal licensed for Sin City News

PC Xbox 360 PlayStation 3
News by Games Industry.biz

21 December, 2007

Red Mile Entertainment has licensed Epic's Unreal Engine 3 for its forthcoming Sin City game, GamesIndustry.biz reports.

The Heroes of the Pacific and Jackass The Game developer signed the Sin City licence in May this year.

"The Unreal Engine is one of the most technically advanced engines on the market and is a perfect fir for our Sin City videogames," commented Glenn Wong, president of Red Mile.

"The engine has powered several of the best-selling games of all time and I am very glad we have the opportunity to arm our developers with such a world-class product."

I'm GamesIndustry.biz's new boyfriend and I'm out of my mind. If you so much as talk to her or even think her name, I'll cut you in ways that'll make you useless to a woman.

I thought it was a terrible idea for a movie but it could make a great game.

Not sure why the engine would make the game good. Isn't this the trap that many a crap game has fallen into. I.e. not realising that it's just as time consuming to learn someone elses engine as it is to build your own. In fact it's easier to build your own!

Sounds like something like XIII, a game that mostly stands out because of the graphical style...

Loved XIII and the Sin City movie though... Jessica Alba FTW!!!
