Sony dates key titles
Heavenly Sword, WarHawk.
Semi-official Sony blog ThreeSpeech has opened up and stamped dates on key upcoming PS3 titles.
First out will be WarHawk, which according to the site is aiming for a 28th August release on the PlayStation Network, and a 21st September release to retail stores on Blu-ray.
Those of you downloading it should expect to shell out GBP 19.99 (EUR 29) for it, while others waiting for the Blu-ray disc with extra video content, manual and Bluetooth headset will pay GBP 39.99 (EUR 59).
Next up is Heavenly Sword, which Sony seems to have finally confirmed for release on the much rumoured 14th September date. Followed by Folklore and Lair on 12th and 26th October respectively - although neither is set in stone.
ThreeSpeech also approached Sony for a solid date on the eagerly awaited SingStar PS3. Unfortunately one wasn't forthcoming, and the blog's best guess at the moment is October.

All before September - Christmas rush of games...
@Cannibal
7/10 - 5/10. 8/10 for Warhawk...

I think its great and Warhawk is one of the titles tempting me towards the PS3.
I'm sure the retailers aren't overly chuffed with it, though.

7/10 6/10 and 9/10 for WarHawk.

Still 20 quid puts it in the tempting bracket.

So thats a bluetooth headset + other malarkies for £13. I'd be tempted if only it was released at the same time.

Ok, Heavenly Sword-7/10, looks sweet enough, but it's nothing new really is it?
Lair-6 maybe even 5/10, looks bloody awful, and rather drab to me :/
Warhawk-8/10, just because.
Whilst I'm here.
Halo 3-8/10, I can sense that the Campaign will be a huge letdown, especially after Bioshock. If the Multi-Player aspect gets its own review that'll be a 9 or 10.
Stranglehold- 7/10, over faaar too quickly.
and COD 4-9/10.
If I get all of them right, I must be some kind of psychic.

I would agree but then the published a HS review were it said:
"Heavenly Sword is amazing to behold, seriously addictive, pleasingly original, in that it manages not to feel like any other game you’ve played..."
Original?

It's silly to generalise, yes?
Bioshock, it would appear, rocks! And maybe this will too, don't get your panties in a twist confounder.
And the 360 'exclusive' on a PC thing is terrible, it's an age old dig, but it doesn't really work. I'll be playing Bioshock on a 50" HDTV next week from the comfort of my couch, and on a gaming rig that didn't cost me almost a grand, and doesn't need continuous expensive upgrades.

What's the point of an Xbox 360 if all the good stuff on it are coming out on PC as well. Halo 3 will be out on PC and it'll be graphically better."
Hahah, this made me laugh so hard. Envy is a sweet thing when your at the other end. ;p
But regarding to the topic, I agree: could go either way. Either its a huge letdown or its "ok" but nothing more I quess.
We will see.

Might buy Heavenly Sword, but I'm not deluding myself
The line-up is weak

captainrentboy: Rofl!? First you say its an unfair comparison due to high costs of a PC, then you say you'll be playing it on a 50" HDTV.
Xbox + HDTV, if its a good one, cost ALOT more than a just-under-top level PC with a 24" monitor (monitor has MUCH better picture quality).
Secondly... playing a FPS while lounging on your couch? I don't know about you, but trying to play a FPS while lying sideways with my head side-on to the TV... I tried that, and failed - miserably. You need to be sitting up and in-line with the TV for a FPS.
Sorry, I just saw the argument and had to poke holes in it.

If another, less obsessed with gadgets, gamer wanted to play Bioshock, but had neither a decent enough PC or a 360 to play it on, one option is considerably cheaper, and just generally less hassle, than the other.
That's what I meant, clever clogs.

Secondly I have a kick arse PC and still buy most multiplatform games on my 360 (anything bar RTSs).
And thirdly, Confounder, someone who pays £425 for a games console is not a casual gamer. Though I do agree that the 360 is too hardcore focused currently and the Wii is too casual focused. That said I think it's the hardcore who actually spend money on games (see game to console ratios).

Oh here we go again.
This is how the anti-bioshock hype continues. WHY MUST EVERYTHING BE COMPARED TO BIOSHOCK?
Is it not possible for any fps as from now on to be good on thier own merit? Are all fps games now gonna get no more than 8 because they aren't as good as bioshock?
