PixelJunk Monsters heading to PSP
It's "the full thing", too.
Q-Games founder Dylan Cuthbert has revealed that PixelJunk Monsters is on its way to PlayStation Portable in 2009.
Speaking to Spike TV, Cuthbert said it was "the full thing", and will include new features for the handheld.
"We get a lot of requests from, er... you know, fanmail and stuff, saying they really wanted a PSP-native version, and so we thought, rather than just port it directly, let's add a bit more."
PixelJunk Monsters is tower defence-style action game where the object is to prevent monsters reaching the player's base and killing cutesy creatures. Towers have various defensive capabilities, including projectile weapons.
The game was originally released on the PlayStation Store earlier this year and picked up 8/10 on Eurogamer, and was followed by a Trophy patch around two months ago.
