Midnight Club 3 PSP footage News

PSP News by Tom Bramwell

30 June, 2005

Fans of Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition... probably don't read this website! In any event, there's a trailer of the new PlayStation Portable version available now on Eurofiles. It's 27MB.

The trailer shows off the game running on the PSP with a typically - to our ears - obnoxious soundtrack, and visually it looks fairly nice, although not up to PS2/Xbox standards obviously. It's worth remembering, of course, that on the PSP screen the image probably looks a lot sharper.

It also highlights a few features of the game including wireless multiplayer and downloadable content, although there's no word (in the trailer at least) on what form the latter will take.

Rockstar hasn't yet given the game a firm European release date, but it's out in the USA and we hope to be able to tell you what we think of that version in due course.

SuperGamerMatt,

I know how you feel :-/. I was looking at my PSP the other day and thinking "I wonder how many DS games I could get for this thing ?"

In the long run I think PSP will do fine but they need to sell some quick loading small arcade style games.

BTW: Did you read the IGN review for Midnight Club 3? They were saying the Load Times are horrendous and for me that's been the biggest deal breaker with PSP games (it really does my head in) and I wish developers would sort it out.

I do get annoyed with the load times. Sony's created an excellent machine, theres just one snag, it's not portable, in any way! I've actually saved up £110 and counting. That I'll be saving for games later this year, for both my PSP and DS. But at this moment it seems Nintendo will be getting my money. Trauma Centre, Advance Wars, Mario Kart, Kirby, Nintendogs, NFS Most Wanted, Castlevania, Animal Crossing, Phoenix Attorney, Jam with the Band, Pac-Pix, Touch Golf, Nanostray, Sonic Rush, King Kong, Winning 8, Shogun Empires, Age of Empires 2, Polarium, Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario & Luigi 2, maybe Pac n Roll, Viewtiful Joe DS, Lost in Blue.
RIGHT I'm selling my PSP, need more money!
