Tony Hawk's Project 8 demo
On Live now.
Activision has released a playable demo of Neversoft's Tony Hawk's Project 8 onto Xbox Live Marketplace.
Weighing in at 340MB, the demo takes place in the Concrete Park section of the game and gives you the chance to try out the new "Nail the Trick" thingy, which apparently involves using the analogue sticks in new and interesting ways.
There's also a "Filmer" goal, where you have to perform tricks for a cameraman, and "Spot Challenges", which involve performing certain tricks when you come across them.
Tony Hawk's Project 8 is due out on Xbox 360 in mid-November, with PS2, Xbox and PSP versions also due out around then and a PlayStation 3 version also in development.

These extreme sports games seem to have disappeared up their own arses a bit. I'll just stick to the original on PSOne.

Yes, the graphics are up there in the next-gen circles, yes it feels a lot better, but the Nail The Trick mode is just something genuinely new. Wowza!

plus, i'm surprised i'm finding the 360 pad as easy to use as the PSX one.
Will defo buy the full game of this on launch day. When the camera zooms out at the end of the demo, it looks amazingly big!
