WarHawk in summer 2007

Motion sensed.

Press literature for WarHawk, Incog's PlayStation 3 action title introduced properly at E3, has specified a summer 2007 release for the title.

Following a promising trailer beforehand, WarHawk rose to prominence during this year's E3 when Sony unveiled its motion-sensing PS3 controller and demonstrated how it could be used to direct the aerial combat elements of the game.

However it had never been considered a launch title, even when it was the only motion-sensing game that we knew about, so it's not overly surprising to learn it's slipped a bit further away.

For more on the game and how it makes use of that controller, check out our preview/interview piece from E3.

How can Sony claim they had tilt sensing before the Wii, when they don't even have a tilt sensing game as a launch title anywhere, not even in Europe?

Maybe Resistance will shoe horn the motion sensing...

Or maybe they'll beg Namco to put motion sensing in Riiiiidge Raaacer 7 somehow.

Is ANYONE making a motion sensing game for the PS3?

War Hawk is not a good game anyways...this isn't something that was important. The sad thing is that there are NO GAMES that use the motion tilting feature of the controller in ANY sort of valuable way!!!

No rumble, and now the equivalent of no motion tilting!!!

    lair is not launch either

Mr MS-employee, you just keep posting to make us laugh or what? Your bullshit is so obvious you make xbox fanboys look bad... (or should it be worse?)

Mike actually is an MS employee apparently.

Someone on here(MJ I think) outted him a week or so back :)

"Mike actually is an MS employee apparently."

That's what I'm referring at. His posts are so obvious, even the most fanatic fanboy must admit he doesn't really helps MS's case... ;)

Looking at the multiplayer vid on playsde Mike is possibly right. It isn't looking like a good game, it's looking like a damn good game.

    linkage

In fact looking at a lot of stuff on Playsyde the PS3 is looking like a more and more competent machine as time goes on. I'd nearly given up on it to be honest.

The latest trailer surprised me to be honest. A couple of months ago when I watched the dev diary on EGTV the game looked horrible, though the concept was fun. They seem to have made good progress but some extra months development time won't hurt. For multiplayer to succeed, the various play-options must be properly balanced and that takes time. It looks like they go for a more cartoon-like artstyle which might help set it apart from all those realistic looking shooters that will hit next gen in the coming months.
