New Guitar Hero controller
Released by third party.
Guitar Hero fans may be interested to know that a third-party controller for the game is now available over at Lik-Sang.
The "Shredder" controller comes complete with those all-important fret buttons and, essential for true rockers, a whammy bar. It's priced at just over £26.50.
If you're prepared to shell out an extra £3.49, of course, you could pick up an official controller - they're on sale now via the official Guitar Hero website.

I was hoping for a full size guitar... and a well constructed one. I guess I need to go the whole hog and buy a proper SG and learn to play Back in Black.

I don't buy that as an excuse, hardline as that sounds. Whatever a controller is and whatever it is designed to do, it should be fit for purpose. If that purpose is to be thrashed like a real guitar, then so be it.
I would think that anyone finding their guitar hero controller is breaking after a couple of months use would have no problems getting it replaced under sales of goods law.

"Apparently it's cheap crap"
As in breaks, or it just feels cheap and looks garish?
@aine
Yeah, like such a thing exists here. Whether it looks crap or not doesn't stop it being news does it?
