More bands to feature in GH: Aerosmith News

PlayStation 2 Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 Wii
News by Robert Purchese

26 March, 2008

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has lifted the lid on a handful of the other bands expected to appear in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.

They'll include The Kinks, Cheap Trick, Mott the Hoople and Joan Jett, according to GameInformer (as spotted by Kotaku).

Perry has previously mentioned that the likes of Lenny Kravitz, The White Stripes and Deep Purple will feature in the game.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was unveiled in February and will unsurprisingly focus on the career of US rock band Aerosmith.

It will be available for 360, PS3, Wii and PS2 this June.

Mooooo Cash Cow!!

Will they ever stop spilling this out? How many more Guitar Hero's do we need? Was one with new songs via download really not enough?

While I agree with the cash cow comments.
Surley if this is released as a stand alone ( no guitar included)
then this is going to be far better value than paying for 3 track packs as is the case with GH2 & 3

britscott - Rock the 80's on PS2 proved that wrong. There was about 6 decent songs on it.

What a joke. I suppose they'll be doing this for any retired "rock" band in need of some dough

I imagine they would just keep releasing new songs via DLC if that wasn't cutting off the (not insubstantial) corner of the market who don't have their console online. I think with the next round of consoles, these episodic releases will all be DLC.

If you play badly, are you called an Errorsmith ?

imo: Rocks the 80s = 3 decent songs. £20 wasted. Grrr.

I secretly loved almost all the songs on Rock the 80s, but even I acknowledge it wasn't worth what I paid for it.
