EA going below the belt in October.

EA has told Eurogamer this morning that fighting game MMA will be released on 22nd October in the UK.

The publisher announced a 19th October US date at a Showcase event last night.

EA will hope MMA can use a Fight Night heritage to wrestle (punch?) success from THQ's stampeding UFC series. But we're yet to play MMA, so whether the controls match the presentation remains to be seen.

I know games, I've been playing them for 20+ years and I know that annual 'sports' game update #9783 is going to be just like annual 'sports' #9782, and I know that giant, personality-bereft wankers are the only people interested in MMA.
