Agree with your comment, although maybe I should explain.
Ever since I've been working in games I've travelled abroad extensively - and once the conversations about games dry up in these countries talk inevitably turns to football. I deliberately started following clubs in countries so that I could have relevant and informed input into football discussion (or at least get into some fiery bar debates with colleagues).
I genuinely try to follow all the clubs, although it difficult at times, and at least I've chosen some particularly uncommon ones (Caen or Tromso aren't exactly glamour clubs). There's a genuine reason for following each of them - too much to go into here (I've seen all of them bar 3, btw).
If you asked me to name just one club though it's Spurs through and through
Just wanted to clarify as I agree with your point...

Tecnico Universitario de Ambato - always loved their name and I don't have a team from Ecuador. Unlikely I'll ever get to see them, tho...

Very good, FM continues to be poor in this regard whereas Fifa Manager probably offered more in that respect then in the execution of the match itself. So the opportunity is there to strike a proper balance between good match simulation and good general game play between matches, giving a better overall game experience.
"Any new features in the way of managerial "mind games"? Roy Meredith: No, not this year"
Excellent. Mind Games are a load of wank. Biggest waste of development time over at SI and glad to see BGS aren't mirroring that. However, do hope some effort has been put into some kind of interaction with own squad members that is somewhere in the realm of the believeable - again, Fifa Manager make an effort there but SI's attempts have been almost insulting they've been so bad. Would like to see CM lead in that regard.
