GRAW2 PC patched News

PC News by Robert Purchese

18 July, 2007

Ubisoft has released a new patch for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 on PC that addresses problems with server listings when looking for a game to join online.

It follows on from version 1.01 just days ago, which put the kibosh on speedhacking, fixed various little bugs and added sorting filters and tabs.

You can update from original retail version 1.00 to the new 1.02 update with this file, or apply a small plaster from 1.01 to 1.02 with this one.

Those of you playing the PC version might also be interested in a tweaking guide to get the most out of your machine.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 was released on PC last Friday. It follows on from the successful Xbox 360 game earlier in the year, adding various bells and whistles - largely an overhead tactical view that lets you set chains of orders to your squad to carry out a complex assault.

GRAW2 for the PC is in no way a "port" of the 360 version. The differences run much much deeper.

Exactly. Port suggests to me, a near-identical game but from what I've seen, the PC version has a different perspective and different missions so how is that a port? Am I wrong?

Admit it EG, you ran this article just because of the 'Clancy that' sub title, we all know it.

It's the same with *any* PC game though so you can hardly point your finger solely at Ubisoft. I can't remember the last time I played a PC game that wasn't patched... I can't remember the last time I played an Xbox 360 game game that didn't need patching either but that's something for another discussion! LOL

You're right, it isn't a port. My mistake. Clancy subtitle put me off.
