GRAW 2 Co-op Collection now on Live

Yours for 800 Microsoft Points.

Tom Clancy has released a new downloadable content package for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 on Xbox Live.

The Co-op Collection, as it's titled, features an all-new co-op campaign comprised of five missions, and nine maps. Seven of those have been "inspired by classic maps from Ghost Recon's illustrious history", while the other two have never been seen before. There are nine new Achievements to unlock, worth a total of 125 points.

The new campaign is set on the border of El Salvador and Honduras, where a rebel leader is attempting to destabilise the governments of both countries and overthrow their US-backed leaders. Because, of course, the US has an excellent record of picking tip-top blokes to run South American countries. Anyway, the Ghosts are being sent in to stop the uprising and, "If they fail, America's efforts in the region could be set back by decades."

For a full rundown of each map, visit the Ghost Recon website. And if you're still not sure whether GRAW 2 is your kind of thing, why not read our review.

Hey Ubisoft, if you send out an email saying the pack is going to be 400 points (which people think is a nice price and resurrects interest in a game people haven't played in ages) and then double the price on release you know what you can do with your DLC.

Oh and +1 to what Whizzo said

Whilst i'm annoyed that it's gone up from the 400pts, 800pts is still pretty good value for money though compared to some other "less well equipped" DLC packs out there.

is that waht they did? email saying 400, then charge 800? thats awesome.

    stupid question alert!

does this HAVE to be played co-op? or can you play on your own? I really liked graw2, and kept it after most of my mates traded it in.

I bought it, havent tried it yet though. Love 16 player coop. Not many games offer this. 800 points: a bit much compared to many great arcade games. But 800 points isnt much anyway.

@T8 : You can play the coop maps on your own - but you wont make it unless your incredibly good at the game.

Precisely what Whizzo said. 400 points would've been absolutely superb and I would've bought it in a heart beat, as would plenty of others I know.

But then doubling the price to 800, THE SAME TIME REZ IS RELEASED, is just beyond stupid.

Congratulations, Ubi, you've fucked up your DLC prices AGAIN.

Indeed they did Ignition, while I kept the email because it was an HTML one that linked to Ubi's site the graphic changed, however a Dutch member of the GR forum did keep a copy and you can see it here.

400 points I'd have bought it and given the game a new lease of life, 800 no thanks, there appears to be plenty of people who feel the same way on my friends list too.

Despite this price doubling thing (that to be honest I was completely unaware of before now) this is still awesome. I will be downloading these new maps for sure. I'm guessing the new achievements are for each of the nine maps... unless anyone can show us otherwise. Anyone?

Erm, how about the PS3 version then?...
  • D_arkTrooper #11 4 years ago

Yeah,be typical Ubi style if they released it on PS3 for free.Double the price for 360 owners to subsidize the PS3 heheeee ;)

I thought it was established long ago that Microsoft create the prices for the content?
  • SlackMaster #13 4 years ago

When they say co-op do they mean of the same console or over live?
  • Yaster #14 4 years ago

Might be free in a couple of months time.

Been waiting a while for this
will be a buy for me
  • kangarootoo #16 4 years ago

Re the doubling in price, shit happens.

I wouldn't expect anyone to cut off their nose to spite their face. If its worth 800, buy it. If it isn't, don't.

I don't give money to companies who falsely advertise, it's one of those principle things that people have.

If 800pts is a problem for you people the simple solution is: DON'T BUY IT.

I downloaded it last night and played 6 player co-op and CTF for a solid 3 hours. I love this game and the pack is well worth the 800pts to me.

There will be another Pack before GRAW3 arrives
think about it theres only 125 points in this pack, the limit for DLC is 250.
thats probably why UBI intended to sell it for 400pts then Microsoft came in and bumped up the price
there is someting wrong with the acheivements thou, ive got all of them but it says ive got 51/52
still a great deal, and im looking forward to the next pack!
