GamesAid launching PS3 Triple Pack

Three games, 30 quid, all profits to charity.

Never mind eh? Make yourself feel slightly better this morning by taking note of the upcoming GamesAid Triple Pack for PlayStation 3.

Due out on 25th June for £29.99, the GamesAid Triple Pack consists of Tomb Raider: Underworld, SEGA Superstars Tennis and FUEL.

Yes! Three games from three different publishers! The key to this miracle is that all the profits go to GamesAid charities.

You can find out more about GamesAid and the charities to which it distributes funds on its official website.

The three games have been donated by their publishers - Square Enix, SEGA and Codemasters respectively - and are supported by Sony, with other companies like The Producers, Fink Creative, Mastertronic and Indigo Pearl helping to get the GamesAid Triple Pack on the market.

Not a half bad trio of games, and at a reasonableb price too.

Shame I already bought them at full price on launch day for the 360...

How nice of the publishers to donate their most bargain bin games that I reckon can collectively be had for less than half the charidee price with not that much effort.

When this ends up on the preowned section of game can we acuse them of stealing from charity

Taking a quick look on Gamestracker, you can get all three for around £30 separately. Still, may as well criticise them for donating bargain bin games. They should just sit there doing jack rather than give anything to charity at all eh?

Would of liked to of seen original games (even if scaled down, not expecting Uncharted 3 to give its profits away) , or even DLC to exiting A class games, gives a bit more incentive than three old games that have had pretty lacklustre scores, that, as said, can already be bought for the same price.
Still, I'll consider it, it's for charity, and could do with a dirbving game, and Tomb Raider hs always been a possiblity at the back of my mind.

Other than Tomb Raider (which I enjoyed for half this price very near release), these really aren't very good games.

It's nice to see someone doing something, but I'd suggest getting Tomb Raider cheap second-hand and donating the difference directly to the charity of your choice.

That way you don't waste any production resources and you can be sure that the lion's share of your money really did go to a good cause :)

The problem is that these are titles that you can pick up particularly cheap. Yet if they expect to release newer titles, it may eat into the developers profits. There's no real soloution but to give away older classics. I'd like to know how much of the money goes to charity, and how much goes to the developer.

There is another selection of independent developers (for pc) who are offering thier games up for a "pay what you want" fee, and you can choose where the money goes. whether it gets split 50-50 with the charity and a developer, or favoured either way. check the link and donate something, anything :)

Think I would rather donate to them myself personally, already have Tomb Raider platinum myself and sold it.

I looked at their website recently, and by that they don't seem to be doing that much. It is a charity I have an interest in, I was given a wristband for the ESC from a magazine which I believe was a previous name for GamesAid.

    Better games please?

The humble indie pack is an awesome little pack of games, Aquaria is brilliant. Best of all they're all cross platform! Linux, Mac OS and Windows all supported.

Don't donate anything less than $0.30 though. Otherwise Paypal will eat payments smaller than this and no money will go to charity OR the developers.

if your feeling charitable, you're always better off just giving the money directly, rather tham buying three games you don't really want, from which a small portion of the proceeds go to some charity you don't get to choose...

Just a quick note; the publishers, developers and platform holder have all given up their royalties for this game in order to raise money for charity, as well as the retailers taking a much reduced cut as well. So they are not getting any financial benefit from this at all. And yes, if you'd rather just donate and not have the games you can do this via http://www.gamesaid.org< /a> (where there's also much more information on GamesAid).
