Exclusive Crysis Zero-G footage
Now showing on EGTV.
If our recent helpings of exclusive direct-feed gameplay footage from Crytek's mouthwatering new FPS (see here, here, and here ) have left you salivating for more, today we bring you the first taster of zero-gravity gameplay in the PC sci-fi stunner.
Spoiler-haters look away now: this level comes midway through your adventure. As well as offering a radical change of pace - you've stumbled inside a spooky, 'apparently deserted' (aren't they all?), alien vessel and this section is what the developer is calling "ambient storytelling" - it also offers complete 360-degree freedom of movement.
We'll hold the details there and leave the rest to you. Check out the zero-g footage right now onEurogamer TV, and don't forget to head over to the Crysis gamepage for all of our in-depth coverage.

I'll remain pessimistic then I can be pleasantly surprised if it turns out to be great =)

Well. To be fair. It's not like any modern day shooter like GRAW, Call of Duty 4, etc or WW2 shooter brings so much innovation to the table. I'm fine with it being a space shooter (like the big spiders didn't give that away long ago).
But this level is not what I call spectacular.

I personaly wish there weren't so many previews of the code. I'm tired of watching half-finished vids. in dx9. they should have kept quiet and then exploded with a bang on release day!
oh well...

I hope the devs are taking note of these comments and that that is one of the reasons there are so many clips coming out. The environment looks ok and stuff - pretty nice and purdy but not really a big deal anymore I'm afraid. But above all ffs you've got to do something about the squid-creatures. They don't look like *menacing* enemies, frankly they look like (ahem) a cross between a squid (30%) but mostly jizz solidifying in bathwater (70%) and then getting pulled hither and thither by the vacuum effect of the plug getting pulled out.
I know it's not pretty.....but I'm not wrong am I? FFS get your enemies some ahem form and some menace.....
