Eurogamer Denmark launches
Probably the best website in the world.
Eurogamer Network's new best friends have just launched another localised European website.
Say hej to Eurogamer Denmark, where "White Stripes man slags off music games" becomes "White Stripes græder over musikspil".
Eurogamer already has websites in France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Romania. No one will ever play us at Risk for money.
"We've had great success with our expansion across Europe so far," commented Rupert Loman, managing director of Eurogamer, signalling Bertie to dust off the map and fetch a new pin.
"We're very happy to be launching Eurogamer in Denmark, and together with our help we expect Kristian and his team to create a fantastic site for the region."
"Eurogamer is a true icon in European gaming and I'm proud to be part of the Danish expansion," added Kristian West, editor-in-chief of Eurogamer.dk.
"Personally I look forward to sharing with Danish gamers this fresh take on our games and the vast industry behind them. We have some great stuff lined up for the launch, and we have assembled a growing team of brilliant Danish writers to contribute to the unique content found in the Eurogamer Network." Roll on Hans Christian Andersen's review of Wii Sports Resort.

Its part of Raupers evil master plan, to set Eurogamer faction against Eurogamer faction at to sit laughing on top of a mountain whilst he watches the whole of Europe tear itself apart at his behest.

I mean you might not understand the text, but a score is as international as it gets. And a second/third/fourth opinion is always welcome.

Are you referring to a system that is similar to the one IGN uses? They post the UK, US and the Australian score on the same video game summary page.

Denmark is such a small country that - as I previously mentioned - I rather suspect most of us are used to English language sites making up for a large part of our web surfing (around 99.9% for me personally), and if anyone here below the age of 40 (or older for that matter) doesn't have at least a serviceable grasp of English they should perhaps have spent a little less time sleeping in school.
Although I guess many probably did just that so maybe Eurogamer Denmark will actually get a few visitors

Does anyone read the non-UK Eurogamers? I never go to the Dutch one. Sometimes I take a look at the French site, just to see how much I can understand.
I frequent the .de version regularly mainly because some of the editors are from my former favorite German PC game magazine (PC Action).
The UK version however is 3rd page I visit in the morning (after a general news site and a game forum).
Welcome .dk to the flock and good luck!

But a Danish site? I mean there is just so many threads you can create about Carlsberg dominance being a threat to local breweries...

The Eurogamer Network would hardly continue with its expansion through Europe if it didn't seem worthwhile.

I hate it that I have to make separate accounts for every Eurogamer website. Why no universal login?
Comment below viewing threshold Show
I just gave it a try and I could. Not that I speak Danish mind. \O/
Comment below viewing threshold Show
But why not integrate the different language sites a bit better? Like showing all the review scores and a little comment from all the other Eurogamer sites on Eurogamer.net reviews?

If you mean "no post back" as "I post a comment and get a blank page" then I just got that on FF3 and Linux.
EDIT: And just got that again when posting the second comment.
EDIT2: And again when editing the 2nd comment.

Same here with Opera in Vista. Yesterday at least - let's see if this one goes through without giving me a blank page.
Edit: It did

It would be even more perfect danish if you wrote "tilbudt"

else i'd have done this myself

That's a really good idea, the only other EG site that I have ever visited for a second opinion is .es, because I like to brush up on my admittedly awful spanish from time to time, but maybe some kind of comparison grid at the bottom of each review with the scores from each national site?
