E3: Ubisoft making all-new TMNT for Wii
Plus arcade remake for XBLA/PSN.
Ubisoft has revealed an all-new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for Wii, plus an arcade remake for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
The all-new TMNT game, subtitled Smash-Up, will be made in collaboration with Peter Laird, who co-created the Turtles. GameArts, the team who helped make Super Smash Bros. Brawl, will also contribute, and we're promised four-player co-op across story, mini-game and multiplayer modes.
Smash-Up's out in the autumn and we've got an E3 trailer
plus screenshots to look at.
The arcade remake, on the other hand, is called TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. We first heard about this in May, remember, although nothing conclusive was offered.
Re-Shelled has side-scrolling, four-player action, just like the olden times but with better graphics. There's no word on price, but the release date is set as 22nd July for Xbox 360. The PS3 version will arrive later in the year.
