Codies wheels out big guns
Three next-gen beasts for 2008.
Codemasters has revealed three new next-generation titles at its recent Code '07 event.
The first of these is Operation Flashpoint 2, the sequel to the 2001 military simulation game. This tactical FPS will be set on a contemporary battlefield and will make use of the publisher's fancy new Neon engine.
The original was developed by Bohemia Interactive, but Codemasters is taking control of this one itself. In fact, it's assembled its biggest ever development team for it, and will include extensive multiplayer action and a wide variety of military disciplines to explore.
Expect to see it on PC and next-generation consoles in 2008. Pop over to our Operation Flashpoint 2 gallery to get a look at the only screenshot released so far.
Next to be announced was Race Driver One, Codemasters third generation of TOCA racers. It's being constructed using the same engine as the impressive Colin McRae DIRT and will be available on PC and next-gen consoles in 2008.
Last but not least was a new action role-playing game, Rise of the Argonauts. This will transport you back to ancient Greece and follow the adventures of iconic heroes Jason, Hercules, and Atlanta.
It's in development at Liquid games for a 2008 release on PC and next-generation consoles.
Codemasters also released lots more information for its known-about upcoming titles. Look out for our Code '07 round-up to see what you missed.

ArmA is the spiritual sequal to Operation Flashpoint, i suggest looking that one up, its by the developers and based on OFP pretty much, just new island and new missions, also obviously upgraded engine and graphics.
OFP2 on the other hand could be awful, but the screen shot is frankly jawdropping

Came out end of Febuary. They have just released a demo for the US release, which unlike the UK/Europe demo has single player portion to it, check that out.
Obviously the full retail UK/Euro game has full single player.

I expect to not see it on the Wii then, or if it is on the Wii then it'll be some half-baked, half-arsed video game monstrosity.
