Codename Panzers MP demo available News

PC News by Dan Pearson

6 March, 2009

Atari's Codename Panzers: Cold War now has a multiplayer demo of its very own available on the official website, in addition to the already available single-player try-out.

LAN and Online are supported, as well as tanks, explosions and meeting men in furry Russian hats under bridges to exchange microfilm for brown envelopes full of cash.

The available map is Islands of Hope, which has the incredibly cheery pretext of seizing a nuclear weapon. Presumably the hopeful bit is that the enemy doesn't get it first and render the next six generations genetically invalid.

If you're impressed by the half-gig demo, keep your eyes peeled for a UK shelf date of 13th March. You can also check out a new trailer over on Eurogamer TV.

Half a gig is pretty decent for a demo these days.
