Age of Booty sequel spied on horizon

Developer hoping it will be Legendary.

Age of Booty developer Certain Affinity has trademarked Legend of Booty, which suggests a sequel is on the way.

Published by Capcom, Age of Booty was a strategy game of pirates for PC, PSN and XBLA.

The idea was to sack towns and sink enemy ships, building up a fortune and an army along the way.

Age of Booty was good, too - and could have been even better had the single-player AI not been so independently minded and enemy boats not so quick to reappear after being codemned to Davy Jones's Locker.

Eurogamer's Age of Booty review can tell you much more.

Could have been MUCH better in instead of using the POS GameSpy API for the multiplayer (which 90% of the time didn't work at all and forced you to connect through GameSpyshit to play even on LAN), they did it themselves this time.

Hey, it's not that complicated for a game of this kind, and we all know that GameSpy, GfWL, etc only cripple your game, even if they're cheap. You lose a lot to save a little.
