Scribblenauts Remix adds voice recognition

Siri-style Scribble Speak for iPhone 4S.

Innovative puzzler Scribblenauts Remix has added a new speech recognition feature for iPhone 4S users.

The type-what-you-want title now allows players to shout out words instead via the Scribble Speak feature.

Scribblenauts sets players puzzles with multiple solutions. Each level is solved by using an almost-endless array of summonable in-game items.

Remix is a blend of new levels and classics from the first two original Scribblenauts games on DS, which together sold 2.5 million copies.

Released for £2.99, it's now a pound cheaper at £1.99 on iPhone and iPad.

A game that's actually worth playing on the iPhone! This is exactly the kind of quirky software only the DS was able to deliver, until now.

Virtual joysticks and existing genres simply don't work well on the iphone.

I liked Monkey Island and look forward to replaying Phoenix Wright. There's room for good entertainment on the iThing.

The iOS version of this was a great idea and plays nicely but felt strangely hollow to me, I think it was the lack of challange mode that had you attempting the same level thrice without repeating items, and the lack of anything to spend your 'ollars on. That and the Time Machine item not working properly.

Now this is a game that really deserves to be bought.

I got this a few days ago, it's really great. Although I echo the hollow sentiment. There doesn't appear to be much to do, once I clear out the 5 worlds...

I wanted to like Scribblenauts but it just seems to come down to finding three words for whatever situation was at hand.

Remix isn't like that for better or for worse. I think it's for worse though. 30 levels of "Name 3 things a fireman might use". Waste of the engine really.

I'd rather have spent £15 on a full Scribblenauts game than this tiny collection of only 50 screens.
A real shame as it looks fabulous on iPad.
