Sony circles Assassin's Creed movie deal
InFamous flick also in the pipeline.
Sony Pictures is close to signing a deal to bring Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise to the big screen, according to insider sources.
According to Variety, negotiations between the two companies are in the final stages, with Sony apparently beating out a number of other studios for the hotly-contested film rights.
Neither party would confirm the news, though an Ubisoft spokesperson commented, "As we've stated before, Ubisoft is actively looking for film opportunities for our top brands. There is high interest from top Hollywood studios to collaborate on these brands."
Variety's report also mentions that Sony is working on a film based on its InFamous PlayStation 3 franchise.

Sony might as well have a stab at making this

However I can't see an inFamous movie being very good, even though I love the games. Despite having fun gameplay they just don't have a story worth bringing to another form of media. Of course that could be said of most games.

Also, I thought Ubisoft were doing a Marvel and creating a movie production company of their own so they can fund their films and retain full creative control? I'm worried that teaming with Sony will make some annoyingly unnecessary exclusives for PS3 in future.

I like the franchise, but were kind of tired of it all, since I think it comes out too often. But that TV-series piqued my interest again.
A Infamous movie will be good aswell.. Jason Statam would perhaps be a cool characther for Cole.
