Gosh, what incredible value for money.
  • HyperTails #4 10 months ago

Well, at least its cheaper than the Skyrim collectors edition.

9 buttons worth of overkill for most of the WoW game.

LOL i thought the buttons on the left side were a Zip at first =/

Cheaper than the awful last version, and looks comfier. Still... this sort of mouse (with similar functions) you can buy for £40, so the question is then, why spend the extra £30?

This is the problem with branded stuff. Sure, it's "cool" and pretty. But really... when you're paying nearly twice as much to have a logo always on it and a bunch of twinkly light effects, you do have to ask yourself... wouldn't that £30 cover, like, three of four months of your subscription fee addiction?

    Still... milk, milk, milk, milk...

    @Grump

Presumably not. I like ambidextrous mice myself, and it can be a pain finding those.

Meh I hate scroll wheels. I've got this, granted it doesn't got much buttons and lacks cool paint but at least your scroll wheel will never ever fail.

I bought the Cataclysm one, and it was a purchase I regret. The firmware update which the mouse pushed upon first use actually caused my PC to bluescreen - both my laptop and mouse bluescreen whenever it is plugged in now.

Pretty sure it's a faulty product, and I'm in touch with their CS to fix it/get a replacement/refund, but from Googling the problem it seems I'm not the only one who had this trouble.

I'll be staying away from this one and sticking with my trusty Logitech gaming mice methinks...

I laugh at all the sad people that buy crap like this.

@Xuiton - I laugh at those who choose to mock people for spending their income on something they enjoy.

Gotta give Blizzard credit: They really have gotten staggeringly good at squeezing every last penny that they possibly can out of their remaining customers.

Thought i'd post my own experience with the previous version, seeing as most people here are pretty negative about this. Being an avid WoW PVE and PVP player I bought myself the wow cataclysm mouse when my logitech G500's buttons started having bad contacts (as in, sometimes register, sometimes don't register). Being a player that's used to mousebinding instead of keybinding (with all mousebuttons bound, along with shift, alt and control modifiers), the extra buttons that the steelseries cata mouse gave were helping me improve my game. I'm quite sure the Naga would be able to pull of the same feat, but likely with extra learning effort, due to the relative tight-togetherness of the different buttons.

I did hear horrorstories about the first steelseries wow mouse, but personally nothing but good for the second one for me (apart from the looks, I like more modest looks). I did notice people with smaller hands that use my mouse tend to have this "gah, that's one huge mouse", but for me it fits into my hand.

So, even more expensive than the Eve-monocle. Oh wait, I actually get a real-life item here. But, yeah, I will be getting this.

I still use the first gen steelseries wow mouse, after some teething problems ( the main right and left hand were stiff and unresponsive) it's been fine! Paint/ coating is starting to peel in places now, but the mouse has held up well, although I stopped playing wow a while ago...

Question: Who counted the 16.8 million colour options? and how did they feel when they realised when their hand was on the mouse you couldn't see them, or when in game you'd never look anyway...
