Limbo, Shadow Complex in XBLA sale

Microsoft details April XBL schedule.

Limbo, Shadow Complex and Castle Crashers are among the titles featuring in a one off Xbox Live Arcade sale later this week.

You'll be able to pick up all three, along with Trials HD and Monday Night Combat, for 600 Microsoft Points each at a 50 per cent saving. The deal is only good for 15th April, so mark your diaries.

Other highlights of the just-released Xbox Live April schedule include a date for EA platformer Fancy Pants, Games on Demand launches for Mafia II and Lost Planet II and some nice savings on various Capcom titles.

Here's the full rundown, as detailed on Major Nelson's blog:

Sales and specials:

  • 15th April: Limbo, Castle Crashers, Shadow Complex, Trials HD, Monday Night Combat (600 Points each, 50 per cent off)
  • 19th-25th April: Up to 50 per cent off SEGA titles including Sonic 4, Crazy Taxi, and Outrun Online Arcade

Xbox Live Arcade:

  • 13th April: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes HD (1200 Points)
  • 20th April: Section 8: Prejudice (1200 Points)

    Good deals, but I already have all of the titles I want.

    Important for everyone looking for Outrun: Get it while it's cheap. It is already gone from PSN due to licensing contracts with Ferrari and the XBLA version is also already scheduled for removal sometime in 2011 (December as far as I know). If you skip it now you might not get the chance to buy it at a later date.

    MvC2 (i wait/miss it no longer :) should have got it before, tbh ) and probably Ilomilo will be my pick. I remembered Sonic Racing earlier before having learned of the sale, but at Microsoft's DD pricing, there isn't the slightest chance I'd get it that way.
    How long till Dungeon Defenders is released?

    I kinda wish I could rebuy some of the games to enjoy the sales more. ;)

    I wonder how much Mafia 2 is going to be? Considering the all-in-one Director's Cut version is coming, it had better be less than that. I could walk to Blockbuster on the corner, buy a preowned copy and be back before even 25% had downloaded.

    Good point about Outrun. Silly Sega, making deals for great games which means any future re-releases are missing critical licenced parts.

    Damn, I just bought Shadow Complex at full price....D'oh! It is a pretty great game so I won't cry too much.

    Hmm, might succumb to Shadow Complex as I missed out on the last sale it was in.

    Definately gonna get Limbo, been waiting for that to come down.

    Will hopefully also pick up Trials HD Big Thrills.

    I wouldn't guarantee that the Friday sale will have everything at 600 points- The advert says "Up to 50% off" which indicates that somethings will be less than 50% off.

    Though Major Nelson does claim that they will be 600 points, but I don't know why they wouldn't advertise it as "everything 50% off" if that were true.

    Perhaps there is a regional variation, with the US getting 50% off and Europe getting 'up to' 50% off...

    ilomilo is a brilliant little game. Limbo and Shadow Complex will be mine as long as they aren't Gold exclusive. MS must have to subsidise Publishers when they make deals gold only. Don't you think?
