Castlevania Reverie DLC delayed to March

Yeah, fangs.

The Reverie add-on for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has been pushed back from February to March.

The news was announced on the game's official Facebook page.

"DLC Update: Reverie is swinging into March. Our apologies for the delay but it's going to be worth it!" an update read.

Reverie follows hero Gabriel as he helps Laura, former servant of vampire Carmilla, destroy an evil that had been subdued by the Queen until she went and selfishly died.

Reverie's the first of two Lords of Shadow add-ons planned for this year. The other, Resurrection, is beefier; it picks up after LOS finishes, providing an insight into the game's epilogue as well as a final showdown between Gabriel and a "very notorious enemy".

Lords of Shadow, the first full 3D Castlevania adventure, was bloody good. Eurogamer reviewer Christian Donlan called Castlevania: Lords of Shadow "heartfelt, handsome, and quietly distinct", before hammering a dirty great 8/10 stake through its black heart.

Gave up on this a while ago.

Got to the vampire castle but it ceased being fun by that point as it was almost impossible to see the attack indicators and therefore block on time - due to the camera.

Shame - its a promising game.

Stop saying it's the first 3D Castlevania

    64
    Legacy of Darkness
    Lament of Innocence
    Curse of Darkness

    were all there way before.

Anyway, LOVED Lords of Shadow, way deeper than I expected and pretty tough too. Ridiculous ending and really eager for the DLC for once.

Just as long as it's not an easy cash in I'm fine. February is packed anyway.

I loved the game, but replaying it is a bitch for some reason, just too many interruptions, puzzles and such to do it all again.

I didn't buy Lords of Shadow, but if somehow they fit this song (and a befittingly glorious accompanying battle) into the DLC, I'd buy a copy on the spot.

I got bored of SOTN about halfway through after getting hopelessly stuck, but I still go back regularly just to play the first ten minutes. So utterly, utterly perfect.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this stunning looking game and made it through to the end.

However, some of the trials required for some of the achievements were a pig though and I will need to go back to them at some time. Will probably rent it again when the DLC comes out.

Resurrection continues where it left off? Does that mean
The whole game will be in present time?

In that case, would be very interested. Castlevania was a nice game, not without it's fair share of problems, not in the least the fact that it started off frustratingly difficult and got ever easier while you progressed. Still, a very atmospheric game all the way through to the, somewhat overdue, end.

In every aspect Castlevania LoS was rubbish. Ok, graphics are nice. But as a game it just sucks... I completed it even though I hated most of the time. Stupid puzzles were the worst. So much cliffhanging... Argh! 4/10.

This game was "good" but not "great"...but I loved the ending and can't wait to see here they'll take it. This is one of those weird games that is greater than the sum of it's parts

Just fininished the game the other day , it was really good and well, not quiet uncharted 2 , it certainly has the potential , if they make another castlevania game like it.
also intrested in getting the dlc for this, even though i cutting down on alot of dlc atm.

speedjack-i think vampire castle was best bit of the game that i liked the most.
did you try lower combat modes? , i admit its a hard and tricky game combat wise on higher modes.

worse level was titan graveyard near end because terrible camera , and few other bits in game like that, but the overall feel of the game was fun and yes game looks visualy very nice and that was one epic final boss , not the final one but the one before that.
