Killzone 3 multiplayer demo for 11am

The Undergarden delayed.

The multiplayer Killzone 3 demo will launch at 11am tomorrow morning UK time, Sony has announced.

All PlayStation 3 owners will have access to the demo, which was previously exclusive to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

It runs from tomorrow until 15th February, and will offer early access to three online multiplayer modes and one offline mode.

Guerrilla Warfare, which supports 16 players, is a classic Team Deathmatch mode in which you and your teammates must try to kill as many of the opposing team as you can against the clock.

Warzone, which supports 24 players, returns from Killzone 2 offering a round-based multiplayer campaign consisting of five randomly ordered mini-missions.

Operations, which supports 16 players, is a new mode which aims to deliver a more story-based gameplay experience, consisting of a sequence of linear mini-missions.

Finally, Botzone is an offline multiplayer mode "ideal for those looking to get to grips with the controls, the weapons or the map layout before going up against live players". The beta features just one map, the "sprawling asymmetrical" Frozen Dam.

Elsewhere, the European PlayStation Blog confirms the launch of PSP games BlazBlue Calamity Trigger and Lord of Arcana on the PlayStation Store.

The Undergarden, which we had expected to launch today, has been delayed to an unspecified date. "Despite the charming blog entry yesterday the game isn't quite ready to hit the EU digital shelves yet, rest assured it won't be a long wait and you're not going to be short of things to do in the meantime," explained PlayStation's Ross McGrath.

What has launched, however, is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 (£11.99 / €14.99) and X-Men Arcade (£6.29 / €7.99).

Cool, I'll have go after work.

Hopefully this will be a big improvement over the lacklustre original.

Can't wait for this, gotta be better than blops on either ps3 or 360, or crysis 2 which sucked too. This is my last hope of a good shooter this year along with homefront ( slightly worried bout this now though )

Hmm, should I 'work from home' tomorrow so I can download the demo.... decisions.....

PS - Does anyone know if the demo contains Move support? I presume so as the beta did.

Fight night demo on now, no idea about move support for kz3, but it's an open beta rather than a demo so maybe

I'm really looking forward to trying this with Move (@smithdown - you said the beta had Move support, has that been added recently because it certainly wasn't in the original beta build released on PS+ a couple(?) of months ago).
If MAG player reports are anything to go by, it can take a fair bit of time to get used to Move controls in an FPS, but once you do the experience - and speed and precision - should be pretty damn good.

Nice. Multiplayer was the strong point of KZ2. According to Edge, they've tweaked the controls (which they needed, dead-zone wise), but I hope they've retained the sense of heft that KZ2 engendered.
I'm quite optimistic about this one all in all, look forward to playing it tomorrow night.

Killzone 2 was quite a big disappointment but hopefully now the pressure of being a ps3 graphical showcase is off GG , they can finally make the game to match the engine.
Just hope theres a lot more different enemy types in K3, as 2 got very repetitive fighting the same looking foot solders.plus there were far too many flaws in the MP for me to stick with it,what with the choke points and the multi objective games, just turning into a deathmatch most of the time

Just on the move support, i cant see the move motion controls working well in a fast paced , competitive multi-player. Unless they do a move vs move only options in the MP menu. Will be a great fresh change in the campaign though.

All over it like white on rice.
