SSX poised for December reveal?

Tricksy trailer is terribly teasing.

What is this mystery game?

It's teased on Spike TV commercial as a game that will be revealed during the 2010 Video Game Awards on 11th December.

A short video clip begins with a view of Earth from space. A selection icon skims over the globe.

A location is found and our view zooms down to a blizzard-raged, mountainous location where a normal looking helicopter flies towards a deployed red flare.

"Get ready to take on the planet," a gravelly voice over says.

Kotaku has heard that an EA logo was associated with the clip at one point. Could this be another SSX game? There's certainly evidence of a snowy mountain, and the voice over seems to suggest that you'll be challenged by something natural.

Or, of course, it could be Battlefield 3.

The Spike TV Video Game Awards are a couple of weeks away. Also rumoured for a reveal at the VGAs is Mass Effect 3.
