Top Gun buzzes EU PSN Store
Plus: Worms! Quantum Theory demo!
Now, I'm not going to sit here and blow sunshine up your ass, but Top Gun has landed on the European PlayStation Store. It's £8 and packs online multiplayer. Brand cash-in, maybe? But a cheaper way to satisfy an aerial combat itch than H.A.W.X. 2.
What's more, Ellie Gibson got to interview Top Gun screenwriter Jack Epps Jr. because of this game. And he came up with such lines as, "Son, your ego is writing cheques your body can't cash."
Less exciting, but worth mentioning nonetheless, is the arrival of Worms 2: Armageddon. The full game costs £12, and there's a free trial to test the soil with.
The only demo this week is Tecmo KOEI's Quantum Theory. On the surface this might as well be Gears of War (and that may be no bad thing), but underneath you'll find a fantasy storyline, stronger emphasis on melee, and of course a woman with a skimpy suit on.
Dragon Age: Origins welcomes another lump of DLC this week with Witch Hunt. This takes place a year after the main Dragon Age: Origins campaign and brings about a "dramatic conclusion" to Morrigan's storyline. Look out for our review tomorrow. Jimmy's Vendetta is available for Mafia II, too.
Those of you that subscribe to PlayStation Plus can download a PES 2011 and a God of War: Ghost of Sparta demo.
The US PlayStation Store has extra Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes and TerRover demos to try - as well as the full game of TerRover itself.
This week's Mini is Flying Hamster.
The odds and ends are listed on the European PlayStation blog. Don't forget to check out the Digital Comics Store update while you're there.

Soooo looking forward to the 30th!
Quantum Theory was dreadful. Felt slow and unresponsive, and the story/setting was generic in the extreme.
TerRover is very promising. The devs have definitely played their Loco Roco methinks. Absolutely bloody hard and frustrating, but still fun. I'll be getting that.
The Samurai thingie is basically another Dynasty Wars. Boring.
Not tried the PSP GoW demo yet. Think I might wait till the full game comes out, cos I already know I'm getting it.
edit: @Zanuah: Castle Crashers came out last week on the US store. Tried the demo but it didn't impress me at all.

I bought the last one quite late on and now there seems to be hardly anyone playing it online. Shame as I actually think its one of the better worms games.
