EA dismisses poor MOH review scores

mattniche

8 years ago

I've not played MoH but 'The company described the launch of the game as a "marathon not a sprint"' just tells me they're thinking 'we know it's a bit poor but the next one'll be better!'

Bit odd.

It does look pretty poor though, from that 15 minute video on here yesterday, and the review read like a five to me.

'Onlive is crap, period. I suspect those that say it works great are employees of onlive.'

Well, you're simply wrong I'm afraid. I tried it yesterday after reading the article on here - it took less than five minutes from reading the article to playing the Splinter Cell demo.

What issues have you had with it? Why is it 'crap'?

mattniche

"So... 2 games? 2?? Colour me disappointed. :( Hope this doesn't go like the Wii VC, drip-feeding new games forever and eve"

Two very GOOD games though.

From the article:

"New games will follow every Wednesday from now on"

I'd assume they're going to see how this goes - little point in porting everything that's on Steam only to find there's a slim market for it.

@clockworkzombie

I think my initial post was unclear.

Yes, I complained that I had lost data from a HD failure. I have optical back-ups of vital system files as I am well aware of the need for this. I don't trust a HD for long term storage for the very reason in my initial post. It would be impractical and a waste for me to burn a CD / DVD or take up space on a pen driive everytime I wanted to back-up the odd thing from iTunes.

If I wanted to download something and put it striaght on a CD / DVD, I would just go and buy it on that format and save messing about.

Digital should be about convenience, and I consider being able to download paid for items again part of that. Other similar services I use all offer this, so why not Apple?
