>As far as I can tell, though, a native version of Baldur's Gate is new to Mac.

It isn't new to the Mac but it is new to OS X.

The whole saga has been ported to the Mac (PPC) by GraphSim Entertainment and MacPlay (a division of Interplay Entertainment, now MumboJumbo). These versions, of course, do not run on current Macs.

Ehm ... Vialli started his career at Cremonese in 1980, Sampdoria signed him in 1984 and Juventus in 1992: http://tinyurl.com/7np653p

He was a great player for many clubs ;)

Transgaming ... CIDER ... mmmh ...

Transgaming's ports rely on a proprietary fork of WINE ... thanks to CIDER it takes no time porting games to Mac OS X (just take a look at their CIDER POWERED GAMES list) but this often negatively affect performances.

There are four versions of the engine, to be precise. The game will be released for the Mac platform as well (release date: Spring 2010 ... the same time frame of the PC/360/PS3 versions).

Being a beta tester is very demanding and time-consuming (if you take it seriously of course). But this game seems to be a must for every MMOPG lover ... what about casual gamers? Will it be casual gamer-friendly?
