It seems that the PC as a gaming machine is making a comback and that is through social networking and faster downloading of games... MS/Sony will no doubt make an extremely powerful new console as a lot of people like me who are hesitant about nex gen may just adopt a new PC/Imac as a gaming machine. EPIC saying is just a PR stunt..no doubt Gabe Newell will do the same whilst Peter Molynew will want the console to know if we are sad or not. |

Battlefield 3 Review
| I have preordered this because I wanted to try something else other than COD that has had a lot of money and time invested, i dont like playing in talkative teams and not a huge fan of the rush mode, but hate all the COD whinging players out there. Give me a nice cheatfree deathmatch anyday. Will i enjoy the multiplayer on this as much as cod? |

| I own lips and wife loves it, i enjoy it too and get everything out of that game that i actually want, singing against a song. Yes it doesnt have additional features, but EG seem to be forgetting the point that the main element of the game is singing and the choice of songs available are good. I think that review is a tad harsh- the game deserves at least a 7, by e.g. it is half of a perfect version of this genre is and I think it is in fact more than half. |

| i dont understand. Supply and Demand is a very simple concept. If supply is high (i.e loads of copies of the game) then demand will be high if the price is correct. If the price is not, then demand goes down leaving a whole load of supply. Yes the pound is decreasing but ulimately loads of people are being made redundant, therefore, disposal income will go down. Activision - talk to your accountants, it does not make sense to raise the price of the game. |

| the sky deal will only work if you can buy per match for a small price. Imagine just incurring one charge for wanting to watch a top premiership game. This will encourage people to adopt sky first then maybe buy a whole package later, without alieanating the current install base. I think thats Skys plan, but i could be wrong. |

I still dont see it being value for money in the UK. With the recession they could do with knocking the cost down by 50-100 gbp, I think the confidence of the public with the playstation brand will be restored. I am an xbox 360 owner and I have absolutely no confidence in the machine lasting until the xbox 720 is released, whereas my friends, playstation 3.....no problems of course. I think its all about confidence. |

Microsoft praises DS success

i think everyone is being a tad harsh on MS. They have in the past stated the Sony conquered the gaming market with its 2 previous consoles - MS have tried copying the winning formula, but changing a few things here and there to suit a more specific market. MS praising the DS is just stating the obvious. Sony and Nintendo would prob praise MS for their liv service which is miles better than any of theirs, wilst Nintendo would prob praise Sony for making a well know Brand and keeping it for over 10 years. The market is about praising and critising - Sony, Ninty and MS are all crap at certain things, but hey, give them kudos for accepting a good product when its out there. |
