I love this game already and can't wait.

Also..

I still hate the new EG design. I almost entirely stopped visiting and commenting here. I check back every now and then to see whether things have improved. It saddens me so much even weeks after I still can't get over it.

Eurogamer's games of 2017: The big debate

Lunatic4ever

I don't know man. Reputable sites like this have an effect on the industry and consumers.

As much as I have sympathy for your "casual" approach to coming up with this list...it's just a bad sign to include games like Destiny 2 here for various reasons. You should take it more seriously to be honest and be aware of the impact.

@Rathbone that's the digital cancer of our times...I hate it too

This is exactly the type of game that that suits my current lifestyle. I don't have hundreds of hours for grinding (and feel stupid doing it anyways), can't always have an hour long operation in BF and I'm sick of the COD frenzy. PUBG can be very intense, it can be very social, it can be very silly or super tactical. Basically it can be whatever I want it to be and all of that in rounds that usually end in 20 or 30 minutes.

At the moment, it is the perfect game for despite it's annoyances and flaws.

Bungie talks Destiny 2 future after week of "tough criticism"

Lunatic4ever

@SBandy well...videogames have grown up man. It's not something only people who love it as their hobby and love tech and gaming are engaging in. With the increasing sales it was only a matter of time until suits show up, take offices on the upper floors of the building and start developing strategies on how to generate more revenue.

In all fairness, the budget for games like this is insane, too. The money that is spent on visuals and sound design is shocking. They have to make that money back. But in all of that what developers and publishers really seem to forget it is, that a game needs to be a fun experience (even the grinding) and not a slog.

But we as gamers have also changed. There's some people here that expect a game to last for couple of hundred hours. I mean seriously, the term "end game content" still makes me sick. People are always eager to point out how much better it was "back then" when you used to pay once for a game and got all the content but it's often the same players that are crying and criticising end game content. It's weird to me.

I don't know man it feels like a quick-time event fight to me...I know that essentially all fighting games are "block at the right moment and counter" games but here it just feels super unorganic to me especially because you have the hud lighting up and the static environments. No variety whatsoever. Sadly I didn't like this as much as the reviewer did.

For Honor is the best fighting game I've played in ages

Lunatic4ever

It feels like a quick-time based game and less organic because of that. I also didn't like the very static environment, things around you simply don't break...which Ubisoft actually did perfectly in Rainbow6. The maps included in the beta were rather small and worst of all...the mobility is awful. You can jump over anything. It's simply too rigid.

Watch: Five things to try in For Honor's open beta

Lunatic4ever

I don't want to be pessimistic and really hope this picks up but kind of fear it will get old too quickly. It's too "quick time based", the environments are too sterile, you can't traverse, can't interact with anything really, the levels are small and you end up running back and forth between three points...some people say Rainbow6 also started that way...I strongly disagree. Rainbow6 allows for so many way to mix up strategies etc...I don't see that here :(

Don't expect another big Deus Ex game anytime soon

Lunatic4ever

I really love Deus Ex to bits. The last two games were so freaking great.

I fully see expected that many people will not appreciate the immensely sophisticated world building, the love for detail, the insanely rich lore...I got lost in the past two games for hours and hours just soaking up everything. They have put so much love in to this game...

I certainly had loads of great memories and I'm really sad that it ends here...
