EA DICE is reworking the Star Wars Battlefront 2 progression system

Lovemoose

To go completely against the grain, Iíve really enjoyed my time in battlefront 2. I liked the Iden Versio parts of the campaign a lot, and multiplayer has kept me coming back, albeit with a couple of balance issues with at-sts and such.

Progression has been slow, but iím old enough to remember when no mulitiplayer FPS had levelling, and I still enjoyed them.

Alienware Alpha review

Lovemoose

I got the base model for 361 quid before Christmas with a deal and a voucher, and I'm really happy with it. It's great for the kids to play their stuff, and happily runs skyrim and shadow of mordor for me. I can stream from my main pc if I need it, but have been surprised by the performance so far, so haven't done that much.

I had a seagate hybrid 1tb drive going spare, so that's gone in and had helped boot time tremendously. Another 4gig of ram was also a boost.

I'm really pleased so far.

Oh, and it does have an optical out on the back, so that should keep you happy dylman:)

Thanks green man gaming. That's incredibly impressive.

edit: Just heard back from them on a ticket. They've had to refund my transaction, and advised me to retry purchasing. Except I can't. Woo.

edit 2: As cheap as they are, I couldn't trust them with my money. I've gone elsewhere, and I'd strongly advise others to do the same.

Eurogamer Readers vs. Battlefield 3

Lovemoose

@#24 We heard no "references/implied insults" from DICE. Perhaps you were listening to EA marketing too much?

""In the charge down a hill into Tehran, surrounded by squad-mates, one of the chaps next to us was caught in a mortar blast and blown a good few feet into our path," he remembers... from the trailer. " or from watching Patrick Bach play it in front of us perhaps?

Definitely Raptaur. There was no sense of competition from the DICE chaps - they just want to make their own (very good) game.

Got to be honest, I was quite looking forward to shooting some writers in the face, so we were all a little disappointed on that front.

@#4 All of my quotes in there are unembellished, we had an email interview with Tom after coming back. Games reporters in the making? I'd love it, but it's ****ing hard work from what I saw.

@#7 I have to admit I'd have rather played it on PC, I'm rubbish with Sony controllers.

Bang on. The comparative narrative starkness of the first game drew me in, but the subsequent piling of lore upon lore has dragged things down ever since. Thankfully the games make up for it.

The only reason I'll mention I've donated to this is to annoy you ignorant, arrogant fucks who purport to have any semblance of care for other causes.

One can only hope that if you or yours need similar help one day that people in a position to help you aren't quite so fucking judgemental.

understanding, empathetic and reasonable comments, so it's best not to give them the opportunity.

Except for one reason: for every hateful comment, I've added a bit more to my donation.

Lovemoose

Note to whiners: the content you're asking for for free, has to be paid for somehow. Ads, app costs, whatever, it's not free for EG to provide this, so the money has to come from somewhere.

If EG couldn't afford to carry on because all you whinging idiots blocked ads or demanded free apps, I'd be gutted.

But there'd be a tiny, gleaming silver lining to the black cloud of EG's departure. Want to know what'd it be?

I'd never have to listen to you bunch of whining cunts ever again.

It's surprising how so many people who participate in what is, nowadays, a fairly expensive hobby carp about paying two quid for something that a volunteer - one of us no less - has made.

Why do you even bother posting if it's too expensive? You can earn £2.39 in less time than it takes to post your ill-conceived "it's more expensive than asian babes so I'm not paying for it" rants.

I've said it in the forum thread and I'll say it again here. Vroom's done a really good job, and EG as whole deserve praise for the very fact that there's enough content to fill up the app in the first place.
