Metal Gear Solid fan remake looks lovely in Unreal Engine 4

And Konami says?

If Konami ever gets around to remaking the first Metal Gear Solid game for the latest hardware, it might look something like this.

Metal Gear super fan Airam Hernandez is remaking Hideo Kojima's groundbreaking 1998 stealth game using Unreal Engine 4. The video, below, shows off his work in progress.

The project is dubbed Shadow Moses, named after the island on which Solid Snake infiltrates a secret weapons development base in the first Metal Gear Solid game. Hernandez is documenting his progress on Facebook.

Of course, it won't be long before publisher and Metal Gear rights holder Konami casts its eye over the project, and, we suspect, shuts the whole thing down. But you live in hope.

Hernandez is at the least aware of the issue, and admits he'll need Konami's blessing "sooner or later". Here's an update on Facebook:
