Sword of the Stars dated

Not long to go.

Lighthouse Interactive has announced that Sword of the Stars will be released in the UK on September 1st, and in Germany and France by the middle of September.

The news comes within a day of the release of a demo of the game, which is a strategic empire-building sort of interstellar affair, adopting similar principles to Civlization and its ilk but aiming to deliver a more intuitive interface and comforting learning curve.

The demo features two of the playable sides, and a universe of 40 stars to play around in. You can also engage in a bit of multiplayer for up four people.
