Hello hello hello! We're scheduled to go live at 10.45pm, but looking a little closer at Ubisoft's streams it seems more likely we'll see the stage show start at 11pm.
Well, that was something. Ubisoft's biggest games all seem to have melded into one shooty blancmange as its Tom Clancy universe takes in The Division, Rainbow Six and, now, a new gritty Ghost Recon that takes an open world and fills it with all sorts of nasty drug people. Catch all the news as it happened.Watch live video from Ubisoft on www.twitch.tv
Fashionably late, as ever.
I hope Pele can make it. I could listen to that guy being a corporate shill all day long.
He has so many more amazing stories to share. I'm with you.
Anyone want to take a punt on what the show-stealing finale will be?
A new Prince of Persia? Beyond Good and Evil 2? SHENMUE 3.
Just under five minutes to go, and actually a fairly entertaining pre-show show.
and Twitch breaks again
It was a temporary outage while they swtiched over to the conference itself - should be back on its feet now.
I forgot about Watch Dogs 2. Did anyone else forget about Watch Dogs 2? That's a good shout for this conference at some point.
It's going to be fascinating watching a Ubisoft conference now they're leaning towards showing real, genuine gameplay and not the fluff that made up the Watch Dogs reveal way back when.
We're live. It's real. The time has come.
Straight into a reveal - a South Park: Stick of Truth sequel.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I loled.
Straight into the showbiz with Trey and Matt on the stage flanking Aisha.
Bringing a whole world of sass, which is so refreshing after EA. Man I'd love to see Pele join this mix.
So many swears too. Edgy Monday.
It's not Obsidian behind this one - it's Ubisoft San Francisco.
Addressing the criticisms head-on. She's stopping short of calling Yves a c**t though, though I wouldn't be surprised if she does at this rate.
A new IP straight off. Is this the showstopper that's been brought forward?
It's got vikings. Knights. Bertie's having an aneurysm.
Also it's by Ubisoft Montreal. Also it's a CG trailer so cock knows what it actually is.
This is the most ground breaking CGI i've seen in about 20 minutes
It's the most ambitious and innovative CGI I've seen today, for sure.
For Honor. Or For Honour. Oh god this is going to cause some headaches in the future.
Jason Vandenberg, who previously worked on Far Cry 3 (and apparently doesn't need that cane any more, but it's a good look so why not?)
He looks like Alan Moore scrubbed up a little for the boardroom.
We are going to see some gameplay.
Well, we're actually seeing some gameplay right now.
The animation is wonderful - really meaty combat. And it's like Chivalry, with some MOBA elements.
Really impactful sword fights. Am enjoying this. Will it look like that come release?
It's playable at E3, so we'll soon find out.
This one might be just for me - an expansion for The Crew.
It took time to get going, but there's a great game in The Crew beneath all the fluff.
The Crew Wild Run, which has a Motorstorm vibe to it. Coming out this November. Not quite sure what it actually is though...
Is this a horse?
It is a horse! Excellent. What horse is it though?
A horse that breathes fire! Wonderful.
I guess horses are coming to Trials Fusion. That's good news. I'll take that.
Oh, it's a unicorn. Yeah, I'll still take that.
It's time for a virus-ridden apocalyptic landscape. 'Yeeeeeeeah' goes the audience.
We'll also have more on this one at midnight tonight.
I can never tell if these voiceovers are in-game, or they expect us to believe people talk to each other like that when online.
Oh, it's fake? a) I'm really dim and b) that's kind of awful.
This is very much in-game, though, despite the fake chatter. And it has been confirmed that the car door shutting animation is still in, so that's all good.
Was that a rage quit?
Well, I still have faith in Massive to deliver, but I kind of want to play it now rather than sit through more demos.
Betas will be coming, but not 'til next year.
And we have a release date - March 8th next year, so not too far away.
Blue Byte is them what done The Settlers before.
Which has never really flown over here, but this grand scale city builder looks intriguing.
It's Anno 2025.
Aisha's in the crowd, which can only mean one thing. Laser tag!
Most of the audience never played an Anno game to begin with.
I never have, I'm afraid. I'm just confused right now by this extended Anno section.
Let's all make a meme! This is kind of atrocious.
Let's get Pele on to showcase Just Dance 2016.
I don't know who this is as I am old. Any help?
Pretty sure it's not Pele though.
Oh, it's Jason Derulo.
This singing is definitely not scripted. It's live. Which is something of a shame in this instance.
Jason Derulo's song will be in Just Dance 2016. I think that's what this is about.
Also there's a third party Wii U game coming out this year, which is pretty sweet.
Just Dance Unlimited is an on-demand, streaming service.
Rainbow Six Siege?
Yup, it's Rainbow Six Siege, though it could have been anything from that.
Are we getting Angela Bassett on stage? We are!
Not sure I'm into this theme of having celebrities being interviewed though. At least Pele had that story about his head being patted.
And again, we'll have more details at midnight on this.
Another live gameplay demo. Rehearsed and scripted, sure, but it's actual gameplay.
This remote thing is basically squidmode.
It all goes back to Splatoon.
This might be sacrilege, but I think I prefer some of the CG/orchestrated stuff over watching men pretending to be playing games on stage.
Oh do shut up chaps.
That was a very chatty Rainbow Six Siege demo that confirms what we knew already - it's looking pretty hot.
The beta starts September 24th this year on all platforms - there's PvP and Terrorhunt.
Oli is reporting that there's some quite loud snoring coming from within the Ubisoft conference.
And now we have some Trackmania goodness.
I loved Trackmania 2 - well, I still love it - but I don't think the way it was delivered really helped it.
I can't actually tell if this is another Trackmania 2 expansion, or something all new - or even if this is a Nadeo game. It looks like an all-new spin on the series.
Well, that'll be my fault for not paying attention.
Here's that CG trailer we all really wanted instead of the gameplay reveal a few weeks back. It's set in Laaaaandaan, don't you know?
Oh no, the horses :-(
'cor blimey he's got 'imself in a right two and eight.
What I said earlier about missing CG trailers? I take it all back.
Assassin's Creed will be playable this year at E3, and they're also touring the game this summer.
still better than EA's
I miss Pele though.
Now we're heading into the finale.
The old Yves drop.
A new game, from a team in Paris.
It's got guns in it! Is it an all new Call of Juarez?
Or Just Cause. I thought that was Square's?
Wait, it actually does look like an open world Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Surely not?
Well it's not Beyond Good and Evil 2, is it?
Could be a gritty reboot.
Pan back to reveal a Rabbid.
The grittiest of all reboots, this one.
It's A Massive Open World!
Oh, it's a Ghost Recon game. (It's really a Call of Juarez: The Cartel remake called A Massive Open World though).
That was quite an underwhelming climax, sadly, and not quite mental enough. Still, onwards!
Sony's up in just under two hours, if you're tough enough.
I certainly am, or at least will be after a few more coffees.
