Ruthless run 'n' gunner Hard Corps: Uprising arrives on PlayStation Network on 15th March, publisher Konami has announced.

The Arc System Works-developed update on the time-honoured Contra formula will set US gamers back $9.99, with UK pricing still to be confirmed.

Eurogamer's Kristan Reed awarded the game a solid 7/10 when it launched on Xbox Live Arcade last month, but warned lilly-livered gamers to give it a wide berth.

"For many (if not most), this endless blizzard of bullets from all angles will most likely be an exercise in the purest form of gaming frustration: endless cheap deaths, coupled with the abject misery of having to start from the beginning when you fail. Welcome to the party, pal."
