Ahhh so this is how City plan on complying to the FFP rules! Step one: Dodgy, over inflated sponsorship deals from related parties. Step 2: Market themselves mercilessly to the rest of the world through FIFA to increase revenues legitimately. Reply+3
Honestly the attitude of the media and "authorities" would lead you to believe, hidden under a quarter of the nations households there was a ticking time bomb under the TV. Reply+4
Ah the second hand market, as consumers we all know that it makes sense to wait for a few months and pick up some bargains. You pay full price for the priviledge of playing it at release and being part of the hype machine.
Second hand sales allow people to experiment and play the games that are initially gambles, a lower price point after all is a lower risk. These plans are seriously going to hurt start up studios and talented development teams as Retailers will carry fewer second hand games.
As an Ex-Game employee, second hand sales are a massively important part of their buisness model. The regional manager on a visit to our store in West London claimed that 75% of the region's profits came from second hand sales after all.
While certainly no fan of Retailers, I think that the plurality of choice offers the consumer a much better deal than what we seem to be moving towards, where the publishers and the platform holders decide on a seemingly abritary price that they think they can get away with charging. If they can decrease the number of ways to acquire content, it's only going to increase the amount they feel they can charge us. Reply+2
If you can find ME somewhere in a bargain deal or pre-owned you could do a lot worse than it. It came out on the same day as COD:WaW and Banjo Kazooie nuts and Bolts, I bought all three first thing in the morning and I had finished both ME and WAW by tea time. I ignored WaW after that but played through ME many more times, it gets better and better as you improve your skills and adapt to its way of thinking. Reply+1
After a 24 hour binge of CoD4 my wrists were seriously sore, next time I wont use the rumble function. The other one was Mario Party on the 64, the spinny stick in the middle games wore a hole in my hands, made me feel like I had a Stigmata! Reply0
Maybe Ubisoft have learnt the lessons of over-hyping games, particular ones that aren't thus far part of an established franchise. This is brand spanking new IP after all and akin to Assasins Creed. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised, Peter Molyneux should learn. Reply0
@Leewom, Kung Fu Chaos was awesome! I loved that game to bits, it even took time away from smash brothers and Timesplitters, a worthy accomplishment! Reply0
Was gifted it on steam by a mate, who felt guilty for pirating it. I have played through to the Virtual world, strange little game but thus far immensely rewarding and fun. Reply0
Meh, I tried the Live Season thing last night, cant say I was too impressed by it. Predictably all the star players were really buffed while the workers and the triers were narked. Reply0
Meh, happy enough with the lunacy of "let there be rock" in RB2 too not need this, if it were to be released in DLC format I may snap up a couple of others, As a bonus though anyone fancy Roy Orbison? Reply0

It's on the pre-order list already, if it is even half way as compelling as Diablo was then that spells trouble. Reply -1
