Bill Gates always implied the xbox and the xbox 360 were the Trojan horses to get microsoft products onto the TV space... anybody remember way back in 1989 Microsoft touted the idea of a set top box then, with the sole reason to get paid for content onto the TV space...think it was called Microsoft TV or something... And thats the problem, I suspect that ms have done a stellar deal with EA which will keep Battlefield 4 off the PS4 for 6 months...and all other 'next, next gen titles, and that would explain EA's no show at the PS4 reveal event... Reply+1
Hmmm interesting, what with the rumor that EA are going to announce some sort of exclusivity deal with Microsoft regarding the next Xbox console, and Peter Moore the ex- microsoft xbox boss going to be new EA CEO?
Microsoft are probably so happy tonight I bet they've just done an little excitement wee.... Reply+1
Very good article from Eurogamer (again) and this got me thinking... did the hot coffee fiasco lead to a pc version of Red Dead Redemption being canned (it was in development at the time..and makes you wonder if they knee jerked on it in case modders found something else to embarrass the company with?) I agree largely with what is written in that review.. as a F2P game it actively goes out of it's way to make F2P players un-welcome... it's bioware being told the game isn't making any money (and what is probably only covers the lucasart licence) and they have to go F2P to survive.. bioware having a hissy fit and taking their ball back...
I've played a few F2P MMo's and this imho is the worst implementation of it bar none.
Bioware should have jettisoned the star wars universe (because it's not theirs, the don't have full control of it) and done an mmo with something that they do own and could control better... a mass effect mmo would have been great. Reply0
This is great news, and baldurs gate 2 later in the year too :)
So what other classic games would you like to see on the iPad? I vote x-com series and a decent port of civilisation (not that 2d monstrosity that 2k did) age of empires perhaps? Reply0
Me thinks sainsburys are getting one back at Game...remember when Sainsburys had that console sale a few years back? Really cheap Xbox 360's and the like...remember game telling their shop managers to run out and buy up all the stock, so it could be sold at games inflated prices?
god I really do hate these 'retail exclusives' just sell us the game FFS! but i guess this is only way game know how to compete with the Tesco's and Amazons of this world...
I think Notch's tweet sumed it up best..

Just tried their twitter feed.... doesn't seem to exist now...hmmmmm your right though they claim free speech but then hack anybody who dares be a bit anti-hacker...just really proves what a big jumped up bunch of script kiddies they are.. :) Reply+1
Hmmm....this just seems to convenient doesn't it... almost an 'inside' job (a national government I mean) after all I really wouldn't put this beyond the scope of a 'black bag' job... if these hacker attacks continue we'll all start clamouring for tighter controls of the internet and BAM! job done. The US/ EU governments get what they really want...total control of the information flow through the internet... Reply+1
