  • Dragon Age Inquisition allows you to tailor your historical world state

    Hmm...
    As nice as it sounds at first, but doesn't that essentially make the cloud mandatory for this game? Meaning that DA3-Saves will only be available through cloud? Or will it be more or less an optional thing?

    Since the SimCity-desaster I'm extremely skeptical hen it comes to (EA-) games with cloud services... (-_-)!

    @FiReTiGeR2K
    It's scary how your post seems to reflect my thoughts exactly after reading the article (and too many E3 interviews during the last week).

    I totally agree with you there and it seems that a lot of people do not even seem to realize this possibility. T_T

    Well, that's one of the reasons that a lot of people abandoned the PC market years ago... only to find out that the 'future consoles' are bare bone PCs/network-/set-top boxes all along... figures. ^_^!

  • Fire Emblem DLC censored in the west

  • codshin 06/05/2013

    @seitur

    The funny thing is:

    A game would actually need A LOT worse oversexualized content in order to get a higher rating, censor or ban in germany ...well, at least as long as it's unclear that the 'moe' girls aren't probably minors that is. ^_^!

    On the other hand handling of gore/violence still is a problem even if the game is specifically created for an adult audience and applies for an adult rating... The responsible politicians and social scientists still assume things like that mess with your brain... no matter if adult or not. <.<

    All the more reasons to import games from you guys in the UK or from Japan if you're living here in germany... but then again there's always the possibility of coming in conflict with the customs authorities here. T_T

  • PlayStation 3: retail disc vs. digital delivery

  • codshin 06/05/2013

    @super_monty

    My thoughts exactly!

    Even if the greastest issues of digital destribution would be solved, I'd rather go with phyhsical media anyway.

    While it's quite clear why the industry wants this developement there's zero benefit for consumers... Sadly, people who 'grew up' with Steam, XBLive, Apps & Co. -in terms of gaming- don't really seem to realize (or care about) that and seem to be way more willing to get themselves taken in by software publishers/developers. :(

  • codshin 02/07/2012

    Well, that's quite some news. ^_^!

    But why on earth so many people are actually looking forward to this (or cloud services in general for that matter) is beyond me. Are they really that keen on a future in which most content will probably be digital destributed? o_O?

    In a long term this will further decrease consumer rights... but I guess you can educate consumers any way you want evetnually given enough time and preperation or perhaps this is a generation thing. <.<

  • Japan chart: My Little Sister Can't Possibly Be This Cute takes top spot

  • codshin 24/05/2012

    @Timotei
    Would it affend you less knowing that -storywise- she's into the "hobby" because of the 'cuteness' of the little sister trope and not because of hentai elements? Like a little sister she never had? ^_^!

    Instead of helping the girl in indulging "finding 'big brothers' in a fantastical pornographic manner", as you put it, the brother supports her coming to terms with her hobby and finding friends who don't solely judge her upon it.
    Because no matter your character, talents and accomplishments you achieved it's all in vain once you're branded as an otaku/nerd in Japan: It will have social consequences more so if you're a girl. <.<

    There are no actual hentai elements in it... and neither incest or otaku-fandom and it's extremes are supported. It's part slapstick, (extreme) slice-of-life show and it parodies aspects of -japanese- society. (-_-)d

    Yepp, the setting IS still weird, but I somehow get the feeling you just want to interpret it the worst way possible. :)

    True, but you don't need to go as far as Japan to find similar examples in lore or religion.
    Greece Pantheon anyone? Knowing that the main deities are all siblings... for example Zeus & Hera. o_o

    Seriously, I don't know much concerning the above mentioned game, but I actually watched a few episodes of the anime/source material after having read this "article".

    And, yes, the setting is niché and bizarre, but its' actual story/content is not at all as bad as the title implies ...or risqué for that matter.

    Of course there are some ecchi and fan-service moments, but the protagonist's actual relationship with his sister never crosses the line:
    it developes from a sibling rivalry to an actual friendship due their efforts of trying to keep her hentai hobby a secret - it all stays at a platonic level.

    Well, that is, at least as far as I can tell after watching a few episodes... ^_^!

    As far as I know it turned out, that the glitch not only appears when using Rolento's knives against fireballs... All characters who use knive-projectile weapons are affected! :(

    Interesting enough the two guys who did the reviews on both the pc- and 360-versions at eurogamer.de gave it a 10 out of 10 each...

    Well, but that's only the german sister-site of course ...probably retards, huh? ;P
