It's brilliant. Still the only movie I've not managed to get anywhere near in HiDef.

Spielberg is a twat for releasing his work on new formats. :/

They did actually find raptors that were 6 foot+ in the end.

They did indeed, but in the movie they call them velociraptors.

I suppose "stay out of the.... knee high grass! wasn't as impressive.

I'm happy the guns have gone, I've enjoyed all the JPs so far, no need to Lucas them.

How did the CGI in The Lost World end up worse than in the original?

    I guess that makes sense.

I really hope they get started on IV. They still can't settle on a script but everyone seems confident it will be done.

Is this series becoming the new Saw?

And didn't the series stop being good after the first one?! I think the point when Jeff Glodblum's daughter did her spinning gymnastics and took out a raptor in The Lost World was when I stopped caring.

The Lost World was terrible, but the third wasn't so bad IMO.

I watched a Let's Play run-through of Trespasser last week actually, and it really made me want some more Jurassic Park. I'd like to see Hammond back, though I don't suppose that will happen with Richard Attenborough being practically retired now.

    Hmm..

In March 2007, Sam Neill said he was not asked to reprise his role as Dr. Alan Grant, while Laura Dern was asked to return for the new film, which Universal still wanted to release by 2008. Director Joe Johnston was also reported not to be directing the film. Richard Attenborough has been contacted about reprising the role of John Hammond. Laura Dern has confirmed her role in the film.

The new target date for release is 2010.

It would be better if they remade the first film but kept it faithful to the book.

Lost World is aces, it was just a bit of fun.

By "fun" you mean "boring, poorly written crap", right?

If it hasn't got dinosaurs with frikkin' machine guns strapped to them, then it will definitely fail. If it has, then it will be the most awesome film of all time

I dunno, I thought the third one was pretty awful too, albeit not as bad as the second (what was Spielberg thinking?!).

The spinosaur was pretty cool, but the raptors were beyond lame in that film.

JPIII was good, but let down by a poor ending.

What was wrong with 2? I know it wasn't great but it's much better than 3.

The second one is alright! I mean, neither of the sequels are a patch on the first but as far as sequels go I liked the second.

It was a mix of repetition and smelly rotten eggs in three week old socks from a mountain expedition.

They're deinycthus without the feathers. Which are related. Just look it up on wiki!

It's science fiction, people get so het up about the science part they forget about the second word.

I thought they were modeled on deinonychus, which would be about the right size of the beasties in the movies. Unfortunately for poor old deinonychus, it doesn't have a very sexy hollywood name. Velociraptor sounds a million times cooler

I wonder if they're gonna make it up as they go along again?

They did with the 3rd film as the actors said the script was still being written when the filming had already started

Dinoriders was awesome! I used to have the mechanical T-Rex toy that was like a foot high, best present I ever got.
