Inspired by the sci-fi thread but I want personal favourites, not the best ever (next to impossible to do anyway).

    In no particular order:

    Ong-Bak
    Enter the Dragon
    Guyver: Dark Hero
    Armour of God
    Bloodsport
    Drunken Master
    Game of Death
    (Jackie Chan's) First Strike
    Blade/Blade2
    Mortal Kombat

I realise this genre isn't as popular as others so if you can't do 10, try 5 or as many as possible.

I've been trying to get these on DVD for ages. They stopped selling them about 2 years ago and now they're bastard-hard to find.

Does 'Man with the Golden Gun' count?

Drunken Taichi, Drunken Master, Fist of Legend.

Most Early Jackie Chan movies were dubbed by Cockneys too, adding to the DrunkenWatchable Level by about 50 points.

Anyone know a good source of old kungfu films on DVD?

I have a trailer for Mad Monkey Kung Fu on several old Made In Hong Kong videos, but I seem to remember they went bust a while ago.

My life is empty without it....

I'd say they were equal, but FS edges ahead for me as you can see what's going on a little easier. Both Police Story films are shot so fast a lot of the action is a blur.

Perhaps I'm getting confused. Isn't First Strike the one where JC tried to make a James Bond type film and failed miserably?

Nothing wrong with the Seagul - he's a quality martial artist - it's just his films suck.

    re : the seagul,

nah, come on.. the guy's a fake! all that business with him 'sponsering' that buhdist sect, which then all of a sudden recognised him as the 20000000 reincarnation of their leader .. hmm..

plus he cant fight for toffee. Or is that just aikido ;-)

at least jackie et all have some recognisable athletic talent other than the ability to look like a twat and scowl unconvincingly.

Aikido is defensive, kung-fu is offensive. Aikido works well and he's the only person I know of putting it on film.

    Seagal's cool, you a foo'.
