|Yeah, Doom's been enhanced. I'm not sure of the resolution but it looks incredibly sharp. The framerate is still a locked 60fps as well.|

Tomb Raider can look astonishing in places. The first level where the mountain city first comes into view took my breath away.
Doom has not been enhanced yet, the patch is in development:
What you guys are seeing is the dynamic resolution going all the way up thanks to X's power. The patch will have better textures, I assume.
My vote goes for Assassin's Creed Origins, Gears of War 4, Wolfenstein II, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy XV as the most impressive on X. I haven't tried Call of Duty or Halo 5 yet.
@VanillaLake ah, that's interesting. It just looks great in 1080p then. Cheers for the clarification.

Honestly, it won't really make all that much difference if you don't have a direct comparison (unless you're a super pixel-counting nerd). 4K is only a small part of the equation; HDR is more meaningful when done right, but as the console/tv is going to upscale the image regardless of what you play, unless you're replacing you current set with something the same size, the extra inches are going to be the more immediately impressive part.

@Glunge No problem.
@Derblington very true. I'm a PC gamer first and I'm, quite frankly, stunned by HDR on the X. Origins in particular has an amazing array of colour due to the HDR implementation. Thoroughly impressive hardware with the right developer taking advantage over it.
Skyrim doesn't benefit that much from the native 4K output because the assets just don't take advantage of the resolution boost; the textures still look pretty crap for instance. It really depends on the game.

Skyrim is very odd , looking off in the distance and some of the dungeons can look really nice. But then you wield a weapon and your hands look like they are from the PS2 era.

I hear Hitman is also meant to look amazing on the X. Has anyone seen this with their own eyes? I quite fancy buying it.

Isn't there a free bit? I keep meaning to check it out.
I forgot about Hitman, but yeah it's beautiful in HDR and it really does benefit from being in 4K. They've added a higher shadow preset, better texture filtering, parralax occlusion mapping and all the other shiny stuff. It also helps that it's a great fun game.
