Rodland was/is still one of my favourite platformers - evah! So many happy hours lost to that game.

Some bad reviews, and some really bad reviews.

    Some decent reviews.

I like the look of the videos.

If it's a literal copy of the Amiga game with better stuff then I'll be happy.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

    No cross-buy is pretty disappointing.

So many great Amiga memories in this thread. Fire & Ice, Ruff 'n' Tumble, Arabian Nights. I miss all those games!

Am I weird though, for preferring the original Superfrog graphics? I wish they hadn't changed them. The new look is just not working for me.

Can this be tagged to Vita forum too? I don't check PS3 but my thread in Vita just got locked as a duplicate so it's like we aren't allowed a thread on the game.

I picked it up last night and enjoyed the first two worlds - the update has really improved level design. The game is fun, although the majority of the trophies are unlocked within one level, which is strange. I would definitely recommend it at the 5.19 PS+ price. It has a level editor and also includes all the original levels.

The sense of speed is good and the frog controls very well. It runs at 60fps as far as I can tell as it is very smooth.

There is cross-buy, it's on the description for the Vita game. There even seems to be cross controller in the main menu of the game.

Having checked into it, when using cross controller the Vita shows secret passageways etc and a couple of times a level your frog apparently jumps from one screen to the other.

Some of the reviews are stunningly bad when you read the content. Claiming gameplay isn't innovative, graphics haven't been updated etc, mindblowing! It's a 20 year old platformer. If you know what you are getting you will be pleasantly surprised I think. I was.

It seems that this has control issues on PS3 but not on Vita, which is worth bearing in mind.

I bought it day one (which was a bit of an odd decision as I thought the Amiga version was okay, not brilliant; apparently flying against convention of the time) and I am enjoying it. I typically play it cross-controller style, though the cross-save is also quite handy.

It's not perfect, nor is it 'stunningly innovative etc', but it's good unpretentious fun. And for just over a fiver, well worth the dosh. I do get annoyed that I can't throw my green blob thing mid-air though

    I've been playing this tonight.

It takes as little getting used to but I had to use the D-Pad for control. Lots of nostalgia in playing this but playing it I am.

I'll try the Vita version sometime later this week.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.
