Maybe a slightly odd question here, but is it feasible to have a PC locked away in a cupboard somewhere that then streams games to laptops on the home network?

Like a lot of people, I don't really have the time to sit in a room playing dedicated PC games. Most of my gaming is either an odd hour on the TV/Xbox, or on my laptop in front of the telly with the missus.

Except my laptop isn't very good, and I agree with others that a gaming laptop isn't really a form factor that works very well.

So could I build a gaming PC then stream to the laptop, controlling the PC/game remotely? Or would latency over a home network make it unworkable?

    Thanks

You could just have a long HDMI cable running from it to your tv.

If you're talking about sending a stream of the video over the network from your PC either wirelessly or wired, not really gonna fly tbh.

    I suspected as much, thanks

A long HDMI cable, hmmmm, delightfully simple!
