It won't be as good as the John Hurt version.

The live-action Tick was something special. The cartoon series less-so.

They should totally try another Flaming Carrot movie.

Hank Pym is boring, Avenger's universe already has two geniuses in it.

An Eric O'Grady Ant Man movie would be much better.

True. That's by far the most interesting thing about this story. He showed with Scott Pilgrim that he can direct fast, flashy CGI action very well, even though any fight scenes in a proper comic book superhero film need to have a lot more substance than that did.

I second the call for a Tick movie. Preferably with Patrick Warburton.

AND big! Small then big, or big to small. Maybe even small-big-small-normal if he's feeling adventurous.

No knowledge of him but sounds rubbish.

Ant Man; the big man who can make himself small. A superpower second in lameness only to Dare Devil; the blind man who can see.

AND BIG. You can't discount the big! He could be 12 feet high if he wanted to.

Yet another comic book character where someone looked around a room for an idea and added a gender suffix to it.

See also: Iron Man, Spiderman, 90% of Batman villains.

This. If he's left alone to make his own film, then it should be fun at least.

OK, so that sounds cooler, but what relationship does having the power of an ant pertain to his being able to grow large? I mean, small I get, but big...?

He also went by the name Giantman. I'm guessing he couldn't find a good word that adequately described his ability to grow and shrink, so he went for Ant-Man because it describes 2 of his powers (he can communicate with ants too). I'd have still went with Giantman from the start if I were him, but I'm not.
