Erm, OK, this really won't take long. Nun Attack was supposed to be this week's release but due to unforseen circumstances, it didn't arrive. That leaves a single DLC pack for LittleBigPlanet Vita to carry the update.

If you're one of the ones who baulked at the price of Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable though, you'll be happy to see it dropped in price down to 23.99. Other price drops include Touch My Katamari, Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen and 2 of the Ben 10 games.

    Next Week
Nuns will hopefully be ready to attack this time - but now with a dose of Guacamelee!

    3rd April 2013

    ****Price Cuts****
    Ben 10 Galactic Racing - 14.99 (from 29.99)
    Ben 10 UA Cosmic Destruction - 15.99 (from 23.99)
    Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable - 23.99 (from 34.99)
    Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen - 14.99 (from 34.99)
    Touch My Katamari - 14.99 (from 24.99)

****Vita DLC, Game Packs and Online/Network Passes****
LBPV: Marvel Arcade Pack - 3.99

Hopefully you've enjoyed playing around with the new folders feature on today's firmware update. I say hopefully because there's not much to choose from this week - yet the quality of what's available is varied.

We start with the big release of the week, Guacamelee! This Metroidvania game has been storming the review sites and scoring very highly. Well worth a look, especially if you're a PSN+ member as it's only 8. No demo however, which is sad. Oh and it is YOPO so PS3 owners will be able to play on both consoles. You can even use the Vita as the second controller!

The other new game this week is Table mini-golf. This is the latest in Sony's line of AR games so get your AR cards out to play. There's an add-on available as well.

Finally, PSN+ subscribers can now get the highly regarded Virtue's Last Reward for no extra cost. There is a demo available for those unsure of what's in store.

    Next Week
    Err... nothing of note.

    10th April 2013

    ****Full Vita Games****
    Guacamelee - 9.99
    Table Mini Golf - 1.59

****Vita DLC, Game Packs and Online/Network Passes****
Table Mini Golf: Toy Land Course Pack - 0.79

I wish there was a demo, but the response has been so positive that I'm happy to take a chance when I have the money.

    They touched me here :D

I'd say I got burnt on Katamari, Playstation All Stars, Everybody's Golf.

I know everybody loves everyboy's golf but I dont see the attraction - gets very repetitive after a while.

I won't be buying Guacamelee based on the fact that it is referred to as metroidvania, two games I really don't get on with at all.

Just to confirm, I already bought Stranger's Wrath for PS3, but you won't get a discount if you also want to buy the Vita version?

EDF is a bargain at the new price. It's insane amounts of fun.

Can some people with it add me please? aros2011

If anyone is on the fence, buy it! I would even have paid 35 for a cart version in retrospect as it's easily the Vitas best shooter. I'm about 5% done after 7 hours+ so there is a MASSIVE amount of content, including 5 difficulty settings for each mission.

I cheered when completing a hard I had tried 20+ times when completing it first time with a new weapons set up.

The weapons selection aspect is brilliant with them feeling different too.

Everyone here who has ever enjoyed a shooting game should buy EDF.

If you don't like it you have no soul so get a 25 card ASAP, the lack of people playing EDF is a travesty. Pricing it at 35 on release was such a stupid move as it could easily be one of the most popular games on the Vita.

Recommended type of meal: Side (Have a main game to play with EDF to provide the fun mindless blasting breaks)

I'm loving Sly too. Could be my favourite game so far on Vita I think! So creative and I love the enviroment hubs, even just running round them is fun. It is a much, much better game than Mario 3D Land imo which felt derivative and stale with the problems that plagued Mario 64 still damaging a game now.

    Recommended meal type: Main

On that note since buying EDF I have been playing it far more than Sly! It really is one of my favourite Vita games (out of over 40!) and it's well worth 24. If you are at all on the fence, make the jump. I'm sure it's snacky nature will make a quality accompaniment to Soul Sacrifice when that's out too.

If Sony sees that the game starts selling at 24 (which it's genuinely worth) hopefully we won't see any more idiotic DL only 35 releases, with them all being released for a maximum of 25.

I am tempted by EDF (I've never played any of the other games in the series, but I like the sound of it), but have too much of a backlog ATM to justfity shelling out 23 for this.

Maybe in a few months once I've finished Soul Sacrifice...

    @aros
Thanks for your insight into the game thus far.

The Mighty Rose has only ever played GDF on the ps2 but that was excellent although the vehicles were next to useless in it. It had a great sense of scale and for a budget title was superb. From what you describe aros it sounds like more of the same and that would do me nicely.

However, why is EDF on the Vita not available to buy in physical form? Although I think 35 is too much to ask I would have bought it if I saw it in a shop. As a consumer I like the option to choose. First they get rid of instruction manuals and now it seems that physical copies of games are being done away with as well. It's just not right son.

Saying all that I may still pick it up after playing through Persona Golden, Sly 4 and the upcoming Soul Sacrifice, as shooting giant monsters and knocking down buildings never gets old. He he.

I guess they didn't have confidence in selling enough copies. It's quite small at around 700mb so should fit for people worried about space

I paid full whack for EDF and don't regret it in the least. Clocked a tonne of hours on that starting from Easy, I'm yet to finish Inferno.
